In Kashmir, a little girl turned into a reporter to show the bad road conditions. The video of her reporting has gone viral on Twitter and has evoked some lovely reactions from netizens. “’Be the change that you wish to see in the world”, Mahatma Gandhi has been quoted saying.

The reportedly 5-year-old girl from valley has become the epitome of Gandhiji’s proclamation by taking matters in her own hand and taking to the road to address the persisting issue. According to a Shethepeople report, the little girl’s report was caught on cam by her mother. Her mother, identified as Shaista, was quoted saying, “I just started shooting on mobile phone on her request. Hafiza was guiding me where to move the camera as it could be heard in the video.”

Background

Children are known to be surprising little bundle of reasoning. Their little questions on everything questionable and objectionable with an innocent voice are at times the best medium to shed light on crucial issues.

Remember the little girl from Jammu & Kashmir who made a cute appeal to Prime Minister Modi about the amount of homework kids her age was given? Well, the video not only went viral, but even the Lieutenant-Governor of J&K issued a statement on same. Labelling the girl’s complaint as ‘adorable’, the L-G claimed he directed the education department to come up with a new policy.

Recently, a similar video has surfaced from Kashmir where a girl turned into a reporter to highlight the bad conditions of her road.

The Facts of the Matter

Hundreds of thousands of people are victims of bad-road conditions, no matter they we are residing. Even the most populous and popular states have corners where conditions of road are shameful. While most people choose to crib about the road-conditions and rarely choose to do much about it, a little girl from Kashmir took matters in her own hand recently.

The little girl is making some serious buzz thanks to the video of her on-ground reporting. In the undated video, the “reporter” can be seen wearing a pink jacket and addressing the issue in the most adorable way. The little girl can be seen standing near a puddle on the muddy road while the cameraperson, whom she fondly calls ‘mom”, pans the camera to the potholes.

“Road Kharab Hai Aage Se Bhi, Piche Se Bhi”

“Aap dekh sakte hai kitni gandi hai ye road, aage se bhi, piche se bhi (You can see how bad the road is from either ends)”, the enthusiastic reporter can be heard saying. “Barish ke wajah se saari gani ho gayi hai”, the little girl gives reasoning to bad roads.

“Itna Ganda Road Hai ke Mehman Bhi…”

She further asks her mom to join her as she continues her adorable “reporting”. She asks her mom, the cameraperson to point the camera to the road. “Aap dekh sakte hai, idhar kitni gandi road hai, kachra phenka hai. Itna ganda road hai ki mehman bhi idhar se nahi aa sakte (You can see how dirty the road is. The road is completely littered. The road is so bad that even guests don’t come through here)”, the girl adds.

“Jitna unhone phenka hai, utna hum bata bhi nahi sakenge. Hum aage badhte hai (the amount of litter they have thrown, we can’t even tell. Let’s continue)”, the girl adds.

Like a true reporter, she goes on to add that if the viewers like the video, they can like, share and subscribe.
