During the second Test against New Zealand in Wankhede, while Team India was dominating with a lead of over 500, a spider cam dropped and hung a couple of feet above the ground near the pitch.

The umpire had to announce an early break as the control room failed to manage the situation.

However, Kohli and the team were having fun with the camera which was hanging mid-air. This produced some hilarious close-up shots while the skipper even asked the camera to go up.

The Strange Technical Malfunction

A few overs before the tea break, a cable suspended camera system malfunctioned in the middle of the match. It dropped down and was hanging a couple of feet above the ground, just beside the pitch and the control room failed to manage the situation due to which on-field umpires Nitin Menon and Anil Chaudhary to call for an early break.

As the break was taken a few minutes before the tea break, the players of the Indian Team, who were already on the winning side, started enjoying the unforeseen situation.

As the camera was hanging mid-air, the players decided to have fun with it until the management finds a way out. The members of the team including Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin, among others started playing with the device. Kohli even said “Kya Bhaisahab” to the camera. This gave the audience some hilarious close-up shots.

As far as the game is concerned, Team India put up 325 runs in the first innings before limiting New Zealand within 62. Later, they batted and gave a gigantic target of 540 for the visitors to win. India won the match by 372 runs and register biggest win in the test match.
