Hrithik Roshan recently celebrated 15 years of the Krrish franchise and to mark the moment, and reports are claiming that time travel will be explored in the 4th installment of the film. Hrithik took to his social media platforms to also spill the beans of Krrish 4 and released a small teaser video which was enough to pique the interest of the fans of franchise.

Hrithik recently took to his social media platforms to celebrate the 15 years of his blockbuster sci-fi drama franchise Krrish. The widely popular film’s first installment came in 2006 and gave Indian fantasy fans something they always wanted – the first desi superhero. After Krrish rocked the box office, the second installment of the film came in 2013 – dubiously named – Krrish 3. The film’s effects were lauded, but the film was panned by critics for its lackluster screenplay and music.

Krrish 4: Jadoo’s Magic in Store?
Now, the team behind Krrish is excited to move on from the underwhelming response of the last film of the series and will be bringing the fourth installment in the series. Much to the fans rejoice, the film is reportedly going to bring back the adorable ‘Jadoo’, who was first seen in Koi Mil Gaya. jadoo was an extraterrestrial being who is rescued by Rohit and returns the favour by helping him in his life.

Time Travel to be explored
Another interesting titbit coming straight from sources is the fact that the film will be exploring the dimensions of time travel. This makes a lot of sense as several superhero films – Avengers: Endgame, most popularly, have explored time travel to its advantage.
Even the masses have warmed up to the concept of time travel and no longer considers it too complicated. It would be interesting to see whether previous characters of the film’s franchise make a return using time-travel concept or the trope is used in a whole different way.
For those who may not remember or know, time travel has been at the core of the Krrish franchise to begin with. In Krrish, Rohan Mehra’s father makes a time travel machine which remained as the center plot point of the film.

Hrithik earlier had posted a small teaser video on his social media where one can Krrish – the superhero alter ego of Rohan Mehra – throwing away his face mask away as he’s floating in the air. Further, Hrithik also shared a cryptic message in the caption and wrote – “The past is done. Let’s see what the future brings. #15YearsOfKrrish #Krrish4.”

Film was announced in 2018, Got stalled because of Roshan’s Cancer
It should be noted that the film was first announced back in 2018 by franchise director Rakesh Roshan. However, due to Rakesh’s cancer diagnosis, the shooting was stalled. Meanwhile, Hrithik had told in an interview that he will be starting shooting for Krrish 4 after the completion of War – which starred Tiger Shroff and was released in 2019.
