A unique love triangle surfaced from Bihar, as a woman who was married for 18 years, fell for her 18-year-old sister-in-law, and ended up marrying her!
Police in Bihar have launched an investigation into an unusual case where a woman named Shukla Devi, who is already married with two children, has married her husband’s younger sister, Soni Devi. Shukla Devi claimed that she rejected her marriage with a man named Pramod Das and entered into a relationship with Soni Devi, which resulted in a marriage.
The couple have been living together as husband and wife for six months, and Shukla Devi has even changed her name to Suraj Kumar and started wearing men’s clothing. When her in-laws forcibly took Soni Devi away from her, Shukla Devi registered a kidnapping case with the police.
In a TOI report, Shukla Devi, was quoted saying, “I believe it is the heart which is the home of love. We both love from the bottom of our hearts. There is no entertainment from the heart but true love. Soni is very nice.” Meanwhile, her husband, Pramod Das, stated that he had no objections to their relationship, saying, “I am happy, if she is happy.”
The case is currently under investigation, with police inspector Krishna Prasad saying, “Only a formal probe would bring the truth”.

Shukla Devi and her husband had been married for 10 years and had two children, but things took a dramatic turn when she married her sister-in-law six months ago. Despite societal norms and traditions, the couple claims they entered into the marriage out of love for one another. “Pati hua to kya hua…Jahan prem rahega, wahin na rahenge (What happened if he is my husband? Where there is love, we will stay),” Shukla boldly stated to reporters, as quoted in a TOI report.
Husband Does Not Object to Ordeal
Shukla’s husband, Pramod Das, stated that he had no objection to his wife’s marriage to his sister, as long as she was happy. According to family sources, Shukla not only changed her name to Suraj Kumar, but also her appearance, sporting short hair and wearing male clothing to give her partner a “husband-like” feel. She even planned to undergo gender reassignment surgery, but after watching some videos, she abandoned the idea.
Things Take a Turn For Worse
Meanwhile, things took a turn for the worse when Shukla’s in-laws forcibly took Soni away, leaving Shukla angry and filing a police report. “I believe it is the heart which is the home of love.
