In a shocking form of ‘protest’, a woman released swarm of bees on police officers after being served eviction notice. The incident was reported from Massachusetts and came to the fore after the woman in question pleaded ‘not guilty’ during a trial earlier on October 12 at Springfield District Court. The woman who saw through the shocking form of protest was identified as 55-year-old Rorie S Woods.

According to reports, police officers from Hampden County arrived at 55-year-old Rorie’s residence to hand her the eviction notice. However, they were met with a surprise when they saw Rorie rolling in an SUV connected to a trailer with several bee hives inside it. Before they could react to the shocking scene, Rorie started “shaking” the beehives.

The sudden movement of the beehives led to its cover getting broken off and moments later, the entire spot was filled with hundreds of bees. The bees targeted the panicked deputies of the Hampden County and stung a deputy.

Soon, several deputies on the scene were stung by the bees, and at least three deputies suffered painful stings and its immediate aftermath as they were allergic. When she was told that deputies who were stung, were allergic, she replied in a Bond villain-esque way, and said, “Oh you’re allergic? Good!”.

The Facts of the Matter

We have all seen action heroes use chairs, lamps, and even pencils, to defend themselves. However, a US-based woman chose an even more unique weapon against some cops, and was charged with four counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon. Her weapon of choice – bees!

Yes, you read it right. The 55-year-old woman from Massachusetts used bees as a form of protest, and ended up sending a cop to hospital, as he was allergic to bees. The woman made use of the bees after she was served eviction notice by the cops, something she clearly was not accepting of.

Massachusetts Woman Uses Novel Approach to Protest

Earlier on October 12, deputies from Hampden County met with a bunch of protesters when they took to a home to hand over eviction notice. Among those protestors, was 55-year-old Rorie Woods. However, instead of protesting using signboards, Rorie had a novel approach.

She rolled in an SUV to the scene with a trailer that continued several bee hives. Before the cops could react, she started to shake the beehives, which led to its cover getting broken. Soon, the entire spot was swarmed by thousands of bees.

“Innocent bystanders stung by bees”

Officials who were present at the scene were quoted saying, “She then smashed the lid, and flipped a hive off of the flatbed, making the bees extremely aggressive. They swarmed the area and stung several officers and other innocent bystanders who were nearby.”

Meanwhile, Rorie made sure that she was protected at all times, and wore a beekeeper suit. While she was arrested for agitating the bees, her retribution was successful, as bees inflicted stings on deputies who were allergic.

“You’re allergic? Good!”

When Rorie found out that the cops were allergic, she said, “Oh, you’re allergic? Good.”

Sheriff Nick Cocchi of the department was later quoted saying, “We had one staff member go the hospital and luckily, he was alright or she would be facing manslaughter charges.”
