Earlier on Sunday, Sini Shetty, an accounting graduate from Karnataka, was crowned Miss India World 2022. At the recently held VLCC Femina Miss India final, Shetty was crowned the title by the former Miss India 2021, Manasa Varanasi, who hailed from Telangana.

The 21-year-old was adjudged Miss India World on Sunday at a ceremony held at Jio World Convention Centre, in Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai. The 21-year-old was followed by Rajasthan’s Rubal Shekhawat, who was announced the first runner-up and Uttar Pradesh’s Shinata Chauhan, the second runner-up.

The organization’s official Instagram page ‘missindiaorg’ shared pictures from the ceremony with a caption that read, “World – here she comes! Sini Shetty has conquered our stage and taken over our hearts with her magnetism, charm, endurance and beauty! We’re so proud and can’t wait to see her represent India on the Miss World stage! Please give it up for Femina Miss India World 2022, Sini Shetty.”

The 21-year-old Karnataka resident was born in Mumbai and spread her roots in Karnataka. With a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, she is pursuing CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst). Like many before her, Shetty has also excelled in other activities, and is a classically trained Bharatnatyam dancer.

Shetty joins the long list of Karnataka residents who were crowned Miss India. This includes Bollywood actor Lara Dutta, host and VJ Sarah Jane Dias, Miss Universe 1997 finalist Nafisa Joseph, and more.

The Facts of the Matter

On July 3, Karnataka’s Sini Shetty was crowned Femina Miss India World 2022. Her name is making rounds of social media and is also in the ‘Trending’ section on blogging platform Twitter. The accounting graduate was adjudged the Miss India World 2022 and was crowned the title by former Miss India Manasa Varanasi. The ceremony was held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.

The jury of the finale of the Miss India World 2022 were actors Neha Dhupia, Dino Morea, Malaika Arora Khan, fashion designers Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khana, dancer Shiamak Davar and Mithali Raj, former Indian cricketer.

Sini Shetty’s Education Qualifications

Although the 21-year-old was born in Mumbai her ancestry and ethnicity converge from Karnataka. After her schooling, she did her graduation in accounting and finance from Mumbai’s S. K. Somaiya Degree College of Arts, Science and Commerce. She is currently pursuing CFA to foray into the world of numbers and data.

Her Happiest Place has Been Dance

According to the beauty pageant’s website, Shetty’s “happiest place has always been dance. She began dancing at the age of four and completed her Arangetram in Bharatanatyam when she was fourteen.”

She then started to harness the power of social media and released dancing videos online.

Grandmother The Most Influential Person

As it is for many people, she too has a long list of people who have influenced her. From her parents who shaped her into who she is, to her mentors who guided her with their “intellect and expertise”, the list goes on. However, in an interview, Shetty mentioned that the most influential person in her life is her grandmother.

“She’s someone with compassion, values, intellect and respect. Her guidance and offerings are what I am today,” she said.

Her Motto and Advice to Youth

In an interview, she was also asked about her motto, to which she said, “You can’t just jump to the end. Journey is the best part. Know what the achievement means to you, respect it”. When asked about her advice to the youth today, she said, “Never doubt yourself, everyone has a persona in them, the leader or executor. Believe in yourself and avail every opportunity”.
