Miss India Adline Castelino has been declared as the 3rd runner-up at the 69th Miss Universe beauty pageant contest which held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on Sunday (16th May).

The winner list of Miss Universe 2020-21 has been declared. While Miss Mexico Andrea Meza won the Miss Universe crown, Adline Quadros Castelino, an Indian who made it to the top 4 as the 3rd runner-up of the beauty pageant. Whereas Brazil’s Julia Gama became the 1st runner-up and Peru’s Janick Maceta became the 2nd runner-up.

About Adline Castelino

Adline is originally brought up near about till 14 years in Kuwait but then she came back to India at the age of 15 to study further and explore the other aspects of her hobbies. In Mumbai, she studied at St. Xavier’s High School and then pursued her degree from a town college.

Adline spends her personal time in reading, dancing, and working on social causes. She is also a Goodwill Ambassador for Smile Train in India and has been the front face of the PCOS Free India Campaign. Her hobbies include dancing and watching biographical documentaries. She has been on the face of magazines and other fashion and editorial covers several times.

She had enrolled herself in various online pageants after college and she was crowned Miss Cocoaberry Diva in 2019. She was crowned as the winner of the LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2020 competition. The jury for the pageant consisted actor and former Miss Universe Lara Dutta, Anntonia Porsild, Asha Bhat, designers Shivan Bhatiya, Narresh Kukreja and Nikhil Mehra. Actors Yami Gautam and Anil Kapoor also graced the occasion.

Before leaving for the competition Adline took her Instagram to celebrate her excitement for the beauty pageant. She wrote in her caption, “A moment which I always dreamt of is finally here! I am departing to Florida to represent my beautiful nation India at the @MissUniverse Competition”.

Adding to it she also threw light and presented her concern over the current situation of the Pandemic in India, to which she continued to write that, “To my people, I know the time hasn’t been easy for us, I aim to bring pride and joy to my country India through my representation at Miss Universe. I’ll be wearing the sash that says INDIA across my heart the sash, which is made from the blessings, love, warmth and the beautiful smiles of the citizens of India!”

  • Adeline is an active member for a welfare organisation called Vikas Sahyog Pratishthan (VSP), which works for the well-being of the farmers and try to lessen and counsel their suicidal rates.
  • Adeline raised a fundraiser to fight COVID-19 pandemic in India, with the help of former Miss Universe and actress Lara Dutta.
