In the Miss Kerala accident case that shook the country, models Ansi Kabeer & Anjana Shajan died in the car crash in an attempt to evade a drug dealer. Earlier in October, the Miss Kerala 2019 Ansi Kabeer and the runner-up from the competition Anjana Shajan had died in a car crash after their car crashed into a tree. The duo was making its way to their home after attending a birthday party held at a hotel. While Ansi and Anjana died on the spot, another car occupant, Mohammed Ashique was rushed to the hospital and succumbed to his injuries.
After the matter was investigated, the probe revealed that the beauty queens were chased by another car. Further, CCTV footage also suggested that an altercation occurred between the two models and another unknown party. What was initially reported as a tragic accident involving two beauty pageant contestants, is now at a crossroads of being a matter much larger than anticipated.
Background
Some truths are hidden behind the thick veil of diluted reality and altered facts. Back in 2020, the untimely death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput gave birth to a conspiracy that’s still remains untangled.
The deaths of former Miss Kerala 2019 winner and the first runner-up from the same competition is transforming into a similar case. Initial reaction to the accident was reports of the untimely deaths of two beauty queens at the prime of their lives. However, later, the plot thickened when investigation suggested the involvement of a man who was known for throwing rave parties.
Meanwhile, recently, a Kerala top cop suggested that the car of the two models smashed into a roadside tree in their attempt to evade the same man.

The Facts of the Matter
On Tuesday, Kochi top cop C.H. Nagaraju claimed that a chase by Saiju Thankachan led to the deaths of the former Miss Kerala Ansi Kabeer and her friend and runner up Anjana Sajan. A Hindustan Times report quoted the police commissioner saying, “Our investigation shows the accident took place when they were forced to speed away due to the chase. After the party, he (Thankachan) made some overtures which they turned down and that led to a chase.”
The two models and one another occupant in their car died in a crash in Kochi on October 31. The bodies of the deceased were found near the Palarivattom bypass on the Kochi National Highway. The deceased were coming to their home after attending a party at a hotel in Fort Kochi.

Ansi and Anjana Were Chased by Drug Peddler
According to a SIT (special investigation team), had the car and its occupants not been involved in the chase, there would not have been any deaths. According to the police, Saiju Thankachan is a drug addict involved in “shady deals”. He is currently in police custody after the court turned down the bail plea.
“We have information that he harassed many girls after late-night parties. If they come up, we will register more cases,” the commissioner confirmed.
Accused’s Bail Rejected, Custody Extended
He further added that Saiju has been booked under sections pertaining to criminal intimidation, culpable homicide and more. Further, a separate complaint was filed against Saiju by Ansi Kabeer’s uncle on Tuesday.
Contradicting Reports from the Evening
During the probe, the police registered contradicting statements from Saiju and Ansi Kabeer’s car driver Abdul. Saiju claimed that he was following their car in his Audi to warn them against Abdul as the latter was drunk. Meanwhile, the driver said that Saiju had blocked their car at a junction and threatened them to come back to hotel.
