Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the skipper of Chennai Super Kings is about to hit another home run in this upcoming season of Indian Premier League aka IPL, leading his boys. MS Dhoni is set to become the first player, be it India or overseas, who will bag a sum of ₹150 crore as salary in IPL.

According to Insidesport Moneyball, MS Dhoni is all geared up to lead Chennai Super Kings again and for this he will receive an additional sum of ₹15 crore in the form of salary. When this amount is further added to his total earnings from IPL, he would become the first player to cross the mark of ₹150 crore salary.

Former Indian Captain, the two-time World Cup-winner, MS Dhoni has earned a sum of ₹137.8 crore with CSK and Rising Pune Supergiants in his IPL career uptill now. By adding this upcoming season’s ₹15 crore to his total IPL earnings, his earnings would be about ₹152.84 crore.

Dhoni is followed by Rohit Sharma and Virat Kholi respectively.

Rohit Sharma, who is currently the skipper of Mumbai Indians holds second place in the list of all-time highest IPL earners. Till now, he has earned a total of ₹146.6 crore from his IPL career as a salary. Rohit Sharma started his career with the Deccan Chargers and then was taken by Mumbai Indians. Eventually in 2020, he was retained by Mumbai Indians at a price of ₹15 crore, which was 5x of what he was given by Deccan Chargers at the start of the league.

Our current captain, Virat Kohli, is on the third position in this list of all time highest earning IPL players. After the addition of ₹17 crore Virat Kohli would be earning a total of ₹143.2 crore. Initially, when IPL just started, Kohli used to get an amount of ₹12 lakh. Technically Kohli has seen a surge of 14,000%, isn’t that amazing!

Virat Kohli is about to make a comeback on the field after his paternity leave. We would soon see him leading India against England. Rohit Sharma would also be there and is expected to play a huge role.
