In an interesting tug-of-war to stay in relevance, NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik claimed that Devendra Fadnavis had connections with drug peddler. Meanwhile, Fadnavis retaliated and promised to “expose” Malik after Diwali festivities. Malik’s claim came amid the ongoing drugs-on-cruise case where primary accused Aryan Khan and co-accused were recently released on bail.
Since the beginning of the case, NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik had thrown multiple allegations towards anti-drugs agency NCB’s Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede. While Mr. Wankhede is being probed by other investigative agencies, Malik is continuing to make his allegations against various leaders now.
Background
NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik has been making as much buzz in the drugs-on-cruise case as the trial on Aryan has. The Maharashtra minister of Maha Vikas Aghadi government has gone after NCB and its zonal director Sameer Wankhede since the case picked up its frenzy. As the case progressed, allegations regarding falsely convicting celebrities, statements on Wankhede’s parents, and several other allegations were spewed out by NCP’s Nawab Malik.
As Wankhede continues to be probed on the allegations made by Malik, the latter has once again threw a slew of allegations. This time, against the former Maharashtra Chief Minister – Devendra Fadnavis.

Later, Malik addressed a conference in which he said that Rana is currently serving time in jail in a connection with drug trafficking case. He further added that Rana had connections with former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. “He (Rana) was financial head of the famous river song sung by former CM’s wife Amrita Fadnavis. The drug business in the state grew under his (Fadnavis) tenure,” Malik further added.

“Wankhede ‘Kingpin of Mumbai Drug Racket: Nawab Malik
The Maharashtra minister fired another round of allegations against NCB Officer Sameer Wankhede. Malik claimed that Wankhede was appointed by Fadnavis during the latter’s tenure and that he was a ‘kingpin’ of the drug-trafficking in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, the allegations against him and his wife did not sit well with Devendra Fadnavis. Speaking to press, the former Maharashtra CM claimed that he will expose Malik’s “underworld links” after Diwali with documented evidences.
“Will Burst Bomb After Diwali”
Fadnavis said that Malik had fired a ‘firecracker’ and has dragged him and his wife in the matter which is baseless. However, he added that he will take the ‘game’ which Malik started and give it a logical end. “I will burst a bomb after Diwali,” said Fadnavis.
Fadnavis also added that he will be submitted documents where underworld links of Nawab Malik are documented and will be submitting the same to party chief Sharad Pawar. The former Maharashtra CM also gave his response to the photo Malik shared on Twitter.

According to Fadnavis, the “River March” team had already clarified that the alleged drug dealer was hired by the creative team of the platform. He also questioned the mental stability of Malik and mentioned that the picture Malik shared was four years old.
“Neither my wife nor I have any relations with that person. He is making allegations against the BJP based on just one picture. His son-in-law was caught with drugs, does that make NCP a party of drug suppliers?” he further added, as quoted by NDTV.
