The ongoing lover’s spat has taken a new turn as actor Karan Mehra accused wife Nisha Rawal of planning everything and claimed that “Nisha switched off the cameras”. Earlier last week, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor was arrested by the Mumbai Police for allegedly beating his wife, Nisha Rawal. After he has been out on bail, both the actor and his wife, have been swinging allegations at each other.

The feud between Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai actor Karan Mehra and his wife Nisha Rawal has taken another ugly turn. For the uninitiated, Karan was arrested by the Mumbai Police for beating his wife. In a recent development, Karan alleged that his wife orchestrated the whole conspiracy. The actor said that all the cameras at the location of the alleged domestic abuse were switched off by Nisha.

“Nisha had switched off 7 cameras in our 4BHK”
Speaking to a leading TV & film news daily Spotboye, Karan said-
“There are seven cameras in our 4BHK apartment. Every room has a camera barring the bedroom. The camera in the hall is installed at an angle that could have captured the area where she hit her head against the wall. But then, I realised that Nisha had switched off the cameras in the house.”

“Orchestrated and planned in advance”
The actor further said that if the CCTV cameras recorded the footage of the alleged abuse, things would have been clearer.
“If we had the footage, things would have been clearer, but the main control was switched off. Everything seemed to have been orchestrated and planned in advance,”
-said Mehra.
The Mehra VS Rawal feud has both the side reacting to each other’s allegations. The same happened when Mehra alleged that Rawal switched the cameras off and had planned everything. Reacting to the statement, Rawal admitted that she had turned the cameras as whenever the cameras were on, Mehra would be nice to her.

“Yes, I switched cameras off because…” Rawal admits and clears the air
“Yes, the cameras were off, and I had switched them off some time ago. Karan would be on his best behaviour, be nice to me and play with our son Kavish wherever there were cameras, while in the bedroom where we didn’t have a camera; he would abuse and hit me. So, I had switched off the cameras many days ago. Now, the police have confiscated the DVR (Digital Video Recorder), which would record everything,”

The spat between Mehra and Rawal reached new heights earlier when Mehra claimed that due to his wife’s aggression and disposition, he reached to a point in his life when he was suicidal. Speaking to Spotboye, Mehra said-
“She has always been aggressive and in the beginning, she was physically abusive as well. Usko gussa aata hai toh woh haath paav chalaati hai, usko samajh mein nahi aata hai. (When she gets angry, she starts getting physically aggressive, she doesn’t understand).”
Further, Mehra said-
I had thought it would get better, and it did to a certain extent, but phir woh activate hone laga (it began getting active again). Things have been bad since the past four-five years and there came a point when I became suicidal,”
-he added.

Meanwhile, Nisha spoke to a Bombay based daily and claimed that she had endured abuse from Mehra for years but hadn’t come out of the closet as an actor’s image and career are important. She further alleged that Mehra had been having an affair.
“One of the charges filed by me against him is of domestic violence. I hadn’t spoken about it for so many years as I understand that for an actor his career and image are of utmost importance. This is definitely about Karan having an extramarital affair, me trying to work on the marriage, him not even taking responsibility for the child and constant abuse over the years, which I have never spoken about. I have evidence to authenticate my claim.”
“I finally told him that you are having an affair, you are not happy with me, you don’t want to live with me, but now we have a child. If I wasn’t a mother, I would have walked out,”
-Rawal said.
