Indian government finally declares to open vaccination for all the adults from age group 18-45 from 28th April. No physical/walk-in will be allowed for vaccination. We will share with you how to register yourselves with CoWin or Aarogya Setu app.
In this pandemic time, India is facing the worst COVID-19 surge across the world, even strikingly surpassing the US, in the number of daily cases. The government has finally opened the vaccination for all the adults. And that means is that all those who are above 18 can register themselves on either CoWin or Aarogya Setu, and book their vaccine dose from 28th April.
The Indian government said on Thursday that there will be no walk-in registrations for the vaccine and people can pre-book their dose only through CoWin or Aarogya Setu. They also tweeted about this at their official twitter handle @MyGovIndia. The tweet said:

How to register?
As it is stated by the government that people need to register for the vaccine before getting the dose, either on CoWin portal (no application is designed for it yet) or Aarogya Setu application. So here are the steps one can follow to register and book a dose.
For Aarogya Setu users
1. Open the Aarogya Setu app, and then click on CoWin tab on the home screen.
2. Select vaccine registration, enter your phone number and click on OTP.
3. Clicks verify, and you will be directed to the registration page.
4. On the Register for Vaccination page, put all the details, including photo ID proof, name, gender, and year of birth. Click on Register.
5. Once registered, you will get the option to schedule an appointment, Click on Schedule next to the name of the person registered.
6. Enter your pin code and hit Search. The centres in the pin code will show up, select the date and time and click on Confirm.
7. You can add up to four members through one login. It is easy to reschedule your appointment; the process is similar to how you schedule it.
For CoWin Portal users
1. On the CoWin website, click on Register/Sign in.
2. Enter mobile number, select generate OTP. An OTP will be sent on your phone. Type the OTP on the site, and click on Verify.
3. On the “Register for Vaccination page”, enter all the details, including photo ID proof, name, gender, and year of birth. Click on Register.
4. Once registered, you will get the option to schedule an appointment, Click on Schedule next to the name of the person registered.
5. Enter your pin code and press Search. The centres in the pin code will show up, select the date and time and click on Confirm.
6. You can add up to four members through one login. It is easy to reschedule your appointment; the process is similar to how you schedule it.
The vaccines which will be used are
1. Serum Institute of India’s Covishield.
2. Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin.
Pricing
According to Serum their vaccine would be sold at ₹ 400 to states and at ₹ 600 to private hospitals. The prices for the Centre would remain the same – ₹ 150. Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala have announced free vaccination in the third phase.
