Zilla Parishad health and public works committee chairperson Sandesh Dhone welcomed the decision to dismiss the peon from service, stating that his conduct was unacceptable and could not be tolerated in a medical facility.
District Health Officer Dr Dayanand Suryavanshi was quoted saying, “A peon at the Talasari primary health centre has been suspended for the incident that took place on Saturday. A doctor handled the situation by giving the child an injection.”

Authorities Condemn the Incident, Peon Dismissed
According to reports, after the incident’s video went viral, the Zila Parishad president Prakash Nikam issued a dismissal order against the inebriated peon who tried administering injections to kids. Nikam also slammed the peon and warned the staff against such future mishaps and blunders.
Meanwhile, a statement was issued by District Health Officer Dr Dayanand Suryavanshi, adding that the accused peon has been suspending for attempting to administer the injection to kids and added that the incident was thwarted by a doctor who gave the child the injection.
