After being asked to buy a plane ticket for their infant, a couple made a shocking decision to leave the baby behind at the Tel Aviv Airport. Furthermore, the couple also attempted to board the flight, leaving their newborn behind, and were later nabbed after the airport authorities raised an alert and were then taken into questioning. The couple was to fly from Tel Aviv to Brussels in a Ryanair flight.
The internet is flooded with stories of netizens annoyed by babies and young children on board crying, making a fuss, and often creating a ruckus. However, one poor baby didn’t even get chance to enter the plane after the parents ended up deciding not to buy the infant’s ticket to fly to Brussels. In most cases, an infant may be charged to a certain fee to fly. The couple ended up assuming their infant would not need to get a ticket and would be able to fly.
At the airport, the couple went past the passport control with the baby in tow, and left the stroller at the counter after being asked to pay for a ticket for their infant. Somehow, the airport staff noticed the couple attempting to board the flight without their baby, and the cops were alerted.
The Facts of the Matter
Anyone who flies on planes would know that parents go to lengths to make their infant or young children feel comfortable before, during and after the flight. From safely tucking the child inside a car seat, to making sure they have ample diapers and infant formula for the baby on board, parents try to make sure their baby travels with them safely and comfortably.
However, a couple in Israel recently threw caution out of the window, and ended up leaving behind the infant at the airport while attempting to board a flight to Brussels. The cause of their massive negligence? They didn’t want to pay for the extra charges for the baby’s ticket.

Couple Abandons Baby – Footage Goes Viral
The couple, who both held Belgian passports, were scheduled to take the Ryanair flight to Brussels but arrived late. As the check-in counters were closed, the couple dashed towards the security, leaving the poor baby in the baby carrier.
In a footage making rounds of social media, the baby can be seen helpless and tucked in a baby carrier. According to reports, the couple, who have not been named, did not have the boarding pass for their infant. When the couple were told that they would need to purchase a ticket for their child to board, they simply abandoned the poor baby and attempted to get to the flight on time.

Airport Authorities Nab the Couple
Fortunately, the airport staff saw the abandoned baby, and rushed towards the couple, urging them to get back to their baby boy. The airport authorities also alerted the airport security and the police. Later, the couple were taken into questioning and it is reported that the baby and the couple did not make the flight.

Meanwhile, a Ryanair manager was quoted in media reports saying, “We’ve never seen anything like this. We couldn’t believe what we were seeing.” Further LADbible quoted a Ryanair representative saying, “The check-in agent at Ben Gurion Airport contacted Airport Security, who retrieved these passengers, and this is now a matter for local police.”
