On 4th June 2021, Pearl V Puri, a popular actor, was arrested for an allegation of raping a minor girl. Reportedly, the case dates back to 2019, when the victim’s father filed a complaint against the 31-year-old actor under the POSCO Act of 2012.

The case read that the actor allegedly raped a minor girl with five other accomplices. Puri was released on bail on the following day. However, the issue surged comments from numerous publications and organizations.

Pearl V Puri, on Monday evening, penned down a note to his fans for bestowing their constant support to the actor. He took to Instagram and used the platform to share an emotional note with his followers.

He mentions how life has mysterious ways of testing people.
“I lost my naani maa a few months back, then on her 17th day, I lost my dad, post that my mother got diagnosed with cancer and then this ghastly accusation”

He said the entire experience was like a grueling nightmare for him, as it made him feel like a criminal overnight. He thanked his supporters by saying-
“I am still numb… but I felt it’s time to reach out to my friends, fans, and well-wishers who have showered me with their support, love, and concern.”
He also told how firmly he believes in the judiciary, law, and the almighty. Finally, he ended his note by requesting his followers to keep blessing him with best wishes.

Support from the television industry
Upon the release of this news, several TV celebrities displayed their support towards the actor. B-Town actress Karishma Tanna took to her social media account to say that Puri could not have committed something of this sort.
