A 6-year-old girl’s letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone viral wherein the girl has complained how things such as pencil, eraser, and Maggi have become expensive.
While the opposition parties across the nation continue to protest against price rise, the letter by little girl sheds light on the fact that an issue such as price rice deeply affect all Indian citizens – young or old.
The girl, identified as Kriti Dubey, studies in class 1 and belongs to the Chhibramau town in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district.
In the letter gone viral, the 6-year-old Kriti writes, “My name is Kriti Dubey. I study in class 1. Modiji, you have caused an immense price rise. Even my pencil and rubber (eraser) have become expensive and the price of Maggi has also gone up. Now my mother beats me for asking for a pencil. What should I do? Other kids steal my pencil.”
Her innocent complaint received overwhelmingly positive reactions by netizens on Twitter. After the picture of the letter went viral, Kriti’s father spoke to TOI and said that it’s his daughter’s own “Mann ki Baat”.
Back in 2021, a 6-year-old girl in J&K went viral thanks to a similar complaint where she complained how taking online classes during COVID-19 is a hassle.
