PM Narendra Modi addressed citizens of India on achieving 100 crore COVID-19 vaccine jabs. On 21st October 2021, India crossed the milestone of 1 billion i.e. 100 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses. It became the second nation after China to achieve this historic record. On the following day, PM Narendra Modi announced his address to the nation by a tweet by PM Office –

On 22nd October, at 10 am the Prime Minister addressed the nation by saying India had achieved a difficult yet extraordinary target of 100 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses. PM Modi said the entire vaccination program was science-driven based on a scientific approach. He mentioned that people mocked in India during the ‘thali bajao’ and ‘lit diya’ movements. Modi said it was the display of unity of the Indian people. He said this success of 100-crore vaccination marks in such a short time of 9 months is an answer to all the apprehensions. He also pointed that free vaccination is the sign of equality in the nation and not following the ‘VIP Culture’. However, with the celebration of the success of the 100-crore vaccine doses milestone, PM Narendra Modi requested people to continue following the COVID safety protocols during this festive season.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on achieving the extraordinary target of 1 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses. He said that behind this success of India, every countryman has performed his/her duty. Today this success of India is being analyzed and compared with other nations’ vaccination programs. Critics being silenced

In his speech PM Narendra Modi also targeted the critics and opposition parties by saying that several questions were raised on the spread of the biggest pandemic of COVID-19. Questions raised included Will India be able to fight this global pandemic? When will India get the vaccine? Will the people of India get the vaccine or not? From where will India get the money to buy so many vaccines from other countries?   Will India be able to vaccinate enough people to stop the pandemic from spreading? PM said that all these questions are answered on achieving the 100 crore vaccine dose target.

Science-based Vaccination Program

The PM mentioned that the entire vaccination program of India is Science-Born, Science-Driven, and Science-Based. He said that the vaccines have been grown and reached to different areas through scientific methods.

Made in India

PM Modi also urged the citizens of India to make ‘Made in India’ a movement such as ‘Swachh Bharat’. With the success of this target, we have removed the rage of ‘made in this and that country’. PM Modi said that this year of Diwali has brought a new sense of confidence and power of belief in the citizens of India.
