India Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes the second dose of the COVAXIN vaccine at AIIMS in Delhi. Prime Minister Modi injected the first dose of COVID-19 on 1st March 2021.

The COVID-19 vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech based in Hyderabad, India. Modi in his tweet, on Thursday, said, “Got my second dose of COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS today, Vaccination is among the few ways we have, to defeat the virus the virus.”

On 1st March 2021 India’s Vaccination campaign was started and opened for people above 60. The two nurses who administered the COVAXIN to PM Modi are Nisha Sharma from Punjab and P Niveda from Puducherry. P Niveda also administered the first dose to PM at the Centre.

After inoculation Sister, Nisha Sharma said that it was an unforgettable moment of her life. She added “I have given the second dose of COVAXIN to our Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. He spoke to us. It was a memorable moment for me as I got to meet him and vaccinate him.”

Sister P Niveda- vaccinator who gave the first dose of COVAXIN to PM Modi stated that ‘today got another opportunity to meet Mr. Narendra Modi and gave him the second dose of the COVID-19.’

She said that ‘I was elated again and we took pictures with him.’

PM said that all people should inject the dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and stated, “If you are eligible for the vaccine, get your shot soon.”

PM Modi in his tweet even stated that the eligible people should also take vaccine dose and register on CoWin.gov.in before inoculation.

India opened the third phase of the COVID-19 vaccine for everyone above 45 years of age. On Thursday, India reported above 9 crore doses of COVID-19 across the nation. India became the fastest vaccinating nation across the globe. As per the reports, the government has also allowed COVID-19 vaccination at public and private workplaces in India from April 11.

The Union Minister stated on Wednesday that ‘on the average basis 30,93,861 COVID-19 vaccine doses injected.’ The health minister said that overall 8.83 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses are administered from the Centres of India on Wednesday.

As India is facing the new strain of COVID-19 and the on the daily basis over 1 lakh cases are registered. The central government has opened the vaccination dose to stop the curb of the infection for above the age of 45 years.

In the span of the last 24 hours, India recorded 1,15736 COVID-19 cases and this is one of the highest reported surge of the disease across the nation. The total number of COVID-19 cases are above 1.28 crore.

On Thursday the PM Modi will connect with the other Chief Minister of States and UT’s to restraint the current situation of the nation. Even they will discuss some strict restriction to curb the flow of COVID-19.

Already Delhi, Maharashtra and Rajasthan imposed night curfew to stop the chain of the infection. Presently the country has reported 843,473 active cases of COVID-19.
