In auto news, pre-bookings for new Celerio is now open. Maruti Suzuki has claimed the Celerio is going to be India’s most fuel-efficient petrol car in the coming months. Amid the Diwali festivities, Indian customers are spoilt for offers and new arrivals in the auto industry. With a serious fanfare, India’s most trusted automobile manufacturer will be launching the Celerio on November 10. The luxe-hatchback’s pre-booking has already open at Rs. 11,000.

The new Celerio comes with an all-new design, a stylish new interior and a new powertrain option. With Celerio, Maruti Suzuki has made it clear that it won’t only rely on the sales of Swift and its variants for sales. After Celerio goes to sale, it will compete with the likes of Hyundai’s Santro, Datsun Go and more.

After 7 years of its launching Maruti Suzuki is bringing forward the new edition of the Celerio in the coming weeks. Maruti Suzuki has remained a dominating force in Indian markets in the hatchback segment. The company offers about 7-8 hatchbacks every year and most of its cars have gotten an upgrade every two years. However, Maruti Celerio remained to be in the contention for a big overall upgrade. The hatchback’s sales were also not promising after it failed the NCAP crash test.

Now, the company is betting on its new facelifted variant of Celerio, and is also promising it to be the country’s most fuel-efficient petrol car.

The Facts of the Matter

Maruti Suzuki is a primarily home-grown brand owned by the Indian government that joined forces with automotive giant Suzuki to have a 49% share in the car market. From Swift to Esteem to Wagon-R, the company has had a history of giving Indian consumers robust and efficient cars, an a relatively affordable price.

On November 10, the company will be launching its all-new version of Celerio. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director of sales and marketing was quoted saying, “The all-new Celerio with a new petrol engine, vibrant and stylish design, and with host of segment-first features is an all-rounder. We are confident that the All-New Celerio will once again energize the compact segment.”

The pre-bookings for the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio are open for the launch on November 10. Anyone with a token amount of Rs. 11,000 can book the new hatchback.

All-new Celerio Design and Appearance

The difference in the predecessor to the current variant will be evident straight away from the design. The new Celerio will feature a new front grille and the company is moving away from the original boxy design. The overall design is now more rounded and less boxy. Further, chrome accents on the grille also add a touch of elegance to it. It seems clear that the designers took inspiration from Swift and S-Presso and didn’t have to look farther.

All-new Celerio Engine and Performance

It’s not just the appearance where Celerio is making the much-needed change. The 2021 Celerio will be powered by the K-series dual-jet engine. Although there’s still no information on the horsepower or torque, the Celerio will come with a fascinating new feature. Reportedly, the Celerio will be featuring the auto-engine start/stop feature, something that can help with fuel efficiency. The car will also come with push button start/stop, something that not even Wagon R features.

All-New Celerio Interior and Features

Take a peek inside and you will be greeted by an all-new infotainment system which will have a floating 7-inch touch screen. The system will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Although there’s no information on the car’s dimension, it can be speculated from the pictures that the new hatchback will have more space inside for leg space.
