To the uninitiated, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is basically a multiplayer battle royale game that needs to be played online. PUBG has been a very popular game amongst people of all age groups. As it was a Chinese app, it was banned in India along with several other Chinese apps. Also, it had security issues and the game received a backlash for its violent content. However, the ban on PUBG in India created discontentment amidst the ones who loved playing this game. The PUBG lovers had been long waiting for the relaunch of PUBG Mobile India.

Recently, a teaser regarding the launch of PUBG Mobile India was released over YouTube on PUBG Mobile India official YouTube channel. It was a 6-second video. However, shortly after the teaser was uploaded, the developers chose to delete the video, but some viewers managed to see it before it was deleted.

There was no clear announcement regarding the date of release of the PUBG Mobile India launch in the video, but it was repeatedly said that the game will be coming soon. Although the video was put down within some time, some people managed to take screenshots of the video and post it in social media. People are really curious to know about why the video was put down and what it actually signified.

It was already a rumor that PUBG Mobile India would be launching again. However, due to lack of any clear notice from the Indian Government, the launch date of PUBG Mobile India could not take place.

PUBG corporation and Krafton had long made an announcement that PUBG would be launched in India which will be rightly made by targeting the Indian players.  Lately, several job listings were made on LinkedIn for PUBG Mobile India which resulted in several speculations regarding the launch of the game. However, no date has been announced for the launch of the PUBG Mobile India.

The PUBG makers have said that they are quite worried about the Indian market and would take necessary steps for it.

The company has also specified that it would try to maximize the security of the data owing to the privacy of its players and has also mentioned that the game protocols would adhere to the local regulations.

It was also announced by the company that customized in-game content would be inculcated in the game content so that the “local needs” are reflected. New clothing, green hit effects instead of the red ones, and a virtual simulation training ground setting, etc. shall be introduced. The company will also try to impose restrictions on the game time to prevent addictions and distractions.

The release of the video has already hinted at the relaunch of PUBG Mobile India and has instilled hope in several PUBG lovers, yet the launch or release date of it remains unconfirmed.
