In what can be rightfully dubbed as ‘Pune Horror’, a 22-year-old man was arrested after being caught on CCTV raping a cow. The accused was identified as Deepak Rajwade, and was arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. This includes Section 377 (having carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman, or animal). The accused is a resident of Lonavala’s Kusgaon.
The incident was brought to the fore earlier on Wednesday when the accused was spotted in an undressed state, forcing himself on the bovine who was tied to the cowshed. The accused was spotted by Satish Dagdu Kokare, who was the complainant in the matter. As Satish witnessed the horror in front of him, he was able to identify the accused, who fled from the spot after being caught in the shameful and depraved act.
According to an APNLive report, the accused’s heinous actions were caught on CCTV camera that was fitted by Satish Dagdu Kokare and his family around the cowshed. Soon, the complainant took the police who rushed to the spot and arrested the accused.
A similar incident was reported from Maharashtra earlier in April where four individuals were booked for raping a Bengal Monitor Lizard at a Tiger Reserve. The accused men also took the video of their heinous crime.

Horrific incidents of humans sexually abusing cattle, pets and other animals are emerging at a concerning rate in the country. In the similar vein, a man in Pune was arrested after being caught on CCTV camera raping a cow. The accused in the matter was arrested by the police and charged under Section 377 of IPC which pertains to having carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man woman or animal.
Complainant Heard Cow Shrieking
The incident occurred earlier on Wednesday, June 1. the accused, 22-year-old Deepak Rajwade is reported to be a Kusgaon resident. According to reports, earlier on May 31, complainant Satish Dagdu Kokare heard shrieking and bellowing of a cow who was tied at a cowshed.
Accused was Caught in Objectionable Position
When Kokare took to the cowshed, he was horrified to witness the depravity of the accused. The accused was in an undressed state and was forcing himself on the cow. On seeing Kokare, the accused fled the spot.
CCTV Footage Showed Accused
After taking a moment to register and process the heinous crime he witnessed, Satish was quick to identify the accused Deepak Rajwade. Satish and his family checked the visuals from the CCTV installed in the cowshed.
Deepak’s act was caught on the CCTV camera and Satish soon took to the police who rushed to the scene of crime and were able to apprehend him.
It should be noted that an eerily similar incident was reported from Uttar Pradesh where a man was held for raping a cow after his act was caught on cam. The accused in the matter was identified as Majid. Reportedly the accused’s neighbour, Jitendra Yadav, saw the CCTV footage and soon took to the cops. The accused was arrested in Lucknow.
