After witnessing countless failed marriages, a Rajasthan-based woman decided to marry Lord Vishnu in Jaipur. The video of the woman marrying her Thakurji has since been making rounds of social media, and garnering different kinds of reaction. The marriage took place earlier on December 8 in Jaipur’s Narsinghpura village.
As per a Free Press report, the woman, identified as Pooja Singh, had seen several failed marriages turning into ashes due to marital disputes between the husband and the wife. The report quoted Pooja saying, “I have seen disputes between husband and wife on very trivial matters. Their lives get spoiled in disputes, and the worst sufferers are women in this, so I have decided to get married to Thakurji.”
The 30-year-old married to Lord Vishnu earlier on December 8th. The wedding was witnessed by as many as 300 wedding guests in the form of family members and other well-wishes. However, Pooja’s father, an ex-BSF officer, is not in the favour of the marriage, and chose not to attend the wedding rituals.
In her interview with the local media, Pooja said that although it was not easy for her to convince her family, she was determined to marry Lord Vishnu. Interestingly, on her Instagram, she has mentioned that she married Lord Vishnu to alleviate the faults in her horoscope.
The Facts of the Matter

Why Rajasthan Woman Married Lord Vishnu?
A native of Narsinghpura village in Jaipur, the 30-year-old woman has been identified as Pooja Singh. A postgraduate in Political Science, Pooja decided to tie the knot with the most ethereal partner – Lord Vishnu!
A Free Press report quoted Pooja giving details about her decision and saying, “I have seen disputes between husband and wife on very trivial matters. Their lives get spoiled in disputes, and the worst sufferers are women in this, so I have decided to get married to Thakurji”.

300 Guests Attend Wedding with Lord Vishnu
In a desperate bid to not have her life ruined due to bad relationship with a potential partner, she married Lord Vishnu earlier on December 8. The marriage saw as many as 300 wedding guests in the form of friends, family and other well-wishers.
Mother Does Kanyadan for Daughter
However, her father, an ex-BSF officer, is not in favour of Pooja’s decision, and did not attend the wedding rituals. Thankfully, her mother, Ratan Kanwar, supported Pooja in her decision to get married to Lord Vishnu, and even performed the kanyadan, which is usually performed by the bride’s father.
According to Free Press, it wasn’t easy for Pooja to convince her family and have their blessings for her marriage to Lord Vishnu. However, she was determined and eventually made her mother come around and be accepting of her decision.

Instagram Tells Different Side of Story
While the idea of getting married to a religious figure after seeing failed relationships may sound interesting, Pooja’s Instagram paints a different picture. On her Instagram, Pooja did share her wedding pictures. However, in the caption, she mentioned that she married Lord Vishnu to alleviate the faults her horoscope had.
