In Karan Johar’s next project ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’, Bollywood stars Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor will once again share screen space. Sharan Sharma of Gunjan Saxena fame directed the movie, which is sponsored by Karan Johar through his Dharma Productions banner. On October 7, 2022, the movie will be launched.
The movie is probably modeled on the life of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Dhoni, predicated on the video.

Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor, and Rajkummar Rao unveiled the film on their respective social media profiles. They presented a teaser that unveiled the names of all the actors in the film. Mahima will be portrayed by Janhvi, and Mahendra will be portrayed by Rajkummar.
Rajkummar Rao shared the teaser, “Time to gear up – it’s sure to be a voyage of two hearts pursuing a dream!” Janhvi commented with Rajkummar’s caption. “Introducing #MrAndMrsMahi , releasing soon in theatres on October 7, 2022.”

A blue jersey and a cricket ball are shown in the short video, which identifies Janhvi and Rajkummar as Mahendra and Mahima, respectively.
“Sometimes to achieve a dream…,” Rajkumar says at the start of the short video “, “Two people are required,” Jhanvi continues.” The audio of cricket commentary can indeed be heard in the background, hinting that the movie’s plot revolves around the sport.

In the comment thread of Dharma’s post on the movie, a fan questioned, “Is it inspired on MS Dhoni?” A fan questioned Rajkummar, “Is this an MSD film?” “Are you working on a movie with MS Dhoni today?” Another admirer added, “Bro, we need Sushant Singh Rajput’s #MSDhoniTheUntoldStory.”
Many speculated that the film is modeled on MS Dhoni, however, neither Karan nor Rajkummar nor Janhvi have said so.

Janhvi and Rajkummar Rao’s Upcoming Film
On a relevant note, Janhvi Kapoor has a stellar project in the pipeline that includes Takht, Dostana 2, and Jerry. Rajkumar Rao’s future project includes Badhai Do, Monica, and O My Darling.
Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor previously teamed together in Roohi, a Hindi horror-comedy.
Moreover, Bollywood is crafting two additional cricket-themed films for premiere in December. The first one is Ranveer Singh’s ’83, which is modeled on India’s first World Cup title in 1983. Jersey, starring Shahid Kapoor and modeled on a Telugu film of the same name, is the second.
