A 4-year-old reportedly took his mom’s car out for a joyride with police so impressed with the incident that they labelled him the “new Max Verstappen”. The incident was reported from Utrecht, Netherlands. Reportedly, the 4-year-old lad in pajamas, stepped into his mum’s car and drove around bare feet.
The boy was spotted casually walking on the street alone and locals quickly alerted the police about the matter. The police were soon reported about another incident of a car hitting two parked vehicles. On investigating, the police found that the abandoned car belonged to the 4-year-old boy’s mother. The police found the kid mimicking the action of driving car, and took him to the police station where he was treated with some hot chocolate and a teddy bear.
According to the police, the 4-year-old boy was able to open his mother’s car with the key, put the key in the ignition, and was able to move the car by putting his foot on the clutch and the gas pedals. Taking to Instagram, the police posted an update about the matter and wrote, “New Max Verstappen found in (the Utrecht suburb of) Overvecht,”
For the unversed, Max Verstappen is the current Dutch word champion and F1 driver.

Police Alerted About Abandoned Car and 4-Year-Old Boy
Police in Utrecht, Netherlands swung into action when they were alerted about an abandoned car that smashed two parked cars on the Utrecht streets. They were soon alerted about a young 4-year-old boy that was seen around the scene in his pajamas. After connecting the dots, the police were shocked to discover that it was actually the 4-year-old boy who was able to drive around the car.

Thankfully, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. However, the police chose the incident to show their funny and witty side. Taking to Instagram, the Dutch police shared an update about the matter and even called the kid the “new Max Verstappen”, a reference to the Dutch F1 champion.

How the 4-yo was Able to Drive the Car
According to the police, the real ‘Baby Driver’ had somehow nicked his mother’s car keys, to “go for a drive”, a way of emulating his father who had gone for work. When the police were alerted about an abandoned car, they quickly ran the registration number in the system and found that it was registered to the 4-year-old’s mother.
Police Treats the Child with Hot Chocolate, Teddy
After safely rescuing the child, the police took him to the local police station and treated him with some hot chocolate and a teddy bear. Following the incident, the boy’s mother called him “resourceful”. “At the car we asked if the child could show how the car worked. The child opened the car with the key and put the key in the ignition. He started the car, moved his left foot to the clutch and hit the gas,” the police wrote.
“The child then got out and ran away in his pajamas. Fortunately, this mini driver’s adventure has come to an end with a sizzle,” the police concluded in the Instagram post.
