In a news depicting a fascinating twist-of-fate, popular Radio Mirchi RJ Anmol shared that his mother wanted a daughter-in-law like Amrita Rao from Vivah. Years later Anmol proposed to Rao on-air. Back in 2006, a blockbuster film in the form of Vivah came from the Rajshri Productions banner. The film starred Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao along with an ensemble cast.
After its release, the film changed the true meaning of couple goals for many Indian fans who were influenced by the film massively. Like many mothers in India, popular Radio host RJ Anmol’s mother also wanted her son to marry a woman like Rao’s character. Little did she know that her wish would become a foreshadowing and Anmol would end up getting hitched with the Indian actress.

In a recently shared Instagram post, Anmol shared a picture of him and his wife Amrita Rao. In the caption, RJ Anmol explained how his mother had wanted him to marry someone like Rao’s character from the popular film Vivah.

The actor claimed that on 15 years back he and his mother watched Vivah in theaters. Post watching the film, his mother asked him to find a daughter-in-law who was close to Amrita Rao’s character from the 2005 film. The Gods of luck must have smiled on Anmol as he ended up marrying Amrita Rao years later.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, the actor shared another video of him and his wife and gave a sneak peek into how he went on to propose Rao on air. In the video shared on Instagram, Rao shared that back when she hadn’t started dating Anmol, the former used to listen to the radio show Anmol hosted.
RJ Anmol Played Amrita’s Favourite Song During Proposal
Giving couples across the country major goals, Rao then explained that Anmol decided to propose to her on his show on-air with thousands of people listening. Further, the radio personality chose Amrita’s favourite old song “Chandni Raat Mein”, while proposing her.

For the uninitiated, Amrita and Anmol dated for about 8 years before she married her boyfriend Anmol on May 2016. The couple welcomed their baby boy in November 2020.
