Russian Influencer Facing Jail Time for Posing Inappropriately Next to 700-Year-Old Holy Tree in Bali

A Russian influencer is facing jail time for posing inappropriately next to a 700-year-old holy tree in Bali. The Russian influencer, identified as Alina Fazleeva, made buzz for her inappropriate photoshoot wherein she was seen posing naked next to a tree in Bali which the locals consider to be holy. While a punishment has not yet been doled out, Alina can be put in prison for as many as six years and can also attract a fine of up to £78,000 (Rs. 74.02 lakhs).

Following receiving a lot of flak by netizens and outrage by local media, Alina deleted the aforementioned pictures. She also issued a public apology in the matter and claimed that she regrets her action.

“I apologise to all Balinese and Indonesian people, I regret my actions. I’m so embarrassed, I didn’t mean to offend you in any way, absolutely no knowledge of this place. I just prayed under a tree and went straight to the police station to explain this incident and apologise,” her statement read.

For now, Alina has handed herself to the concerned authorities and the case is being processed. If she’s convicted, she can be charged for sharing pornography under the Information and Electronic Transactions Act (ITE).

Recently, a Russian influencer faced the heat of the locals in Bali, after she posed inappropriately in front of a holy tree.

With sixteen-thousand followers in her kitty, Alina Fazleeva, a Russian influencer, posed naked in front of a weeping paperbark tree, locally known as, Kayu Putih. The locals consider the 700-year-old tree to be holy, and as such, were outraged to see Alina sharing inappropriate pictures with the tree in the background.

The aforementioned tree is situated in Bali’s Tabanan area near Babakan Temple. After generating flak by the locals and heavily criticized by the local media, Alina deleted the pictures from Instagram and shared an apology regarding the matter wherein she claimed that she “regrets” her actions.

It should be noted that Alina’s raunchy photoshoot gained the attention of Niluh Djelantik, an entrepreneur from Bali, who called authorities to intervene in the matter. Following the outrage, Alina shared a video of her, wherein she can be seen praying next to the tree, fully clothed, expressing her “regret”.

6-Year Prison Sentence, Fine of Rs. 74.02 Lakhs

Alina has officially turned herself over to the concerned authorities and can face jail time and heavy fine. According to the stringent Information and Electronic Transactions Act, Alina can face up to a six-year prison sentence. Further, she can also attract a fine of £78,000 (Rs. 74.02 lakhs).
