The incident occurred in the early hours of April 14th, when two men on a motorcycle fired four shots outside Galaxy Apartments, where Khan lives with his family. Using a combination of human and technical intelligence, the police were able to identify the suspects as Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21), both originally hailing from Champaran, Bihar. The breakthrough came after the police traced the rental agreement and motorcycle purchase documents, which contained the suspects’ original Aadhaar card details.
“With the help of human and technical intelligence, the crime branch team received information that the accused persons were in Gujarat, following which two teams were sent to nab them,” said Joint Commissioner of Police (crime) Lakhmi Gautam.
