On Thursday, Salman Khan’s Kick co-star Arun Verma passed away at 62 years. The cause of death was reported to be multiple organ failure. The actor was known to provide comedic relief or add dramatic moments in several supporting roles he was casted in. Other than Kick, the actor was also seen in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Prem Granth. The news was confirmed earlier on Thursday by Indian Express. The late actor was admitted to the People’s Hospital in Bhopal. Initially, the actor was suffering from a brain blockage. The blockage led to his key organs including lungs, and kidney failing. The late actor is survived by both his parents and his siblings. After his demise, netizens, including his peers, took to Twitter and condoled the death.

The Facts of the Matter

Thursday was a dark day for the Indian entertainment industry. On Thursday, it was reported that choreographer-director Remo D’Souza’s brother-in-law died due to suicide. The same day it was reported that popular film actor Arun Verma, who shared screen with the likes of Salman Khan, and more, passed away.

Speaking to Indian Express, the late actor’s nephew Amit Verma confirmed the news of his uncle’s demise. “Arun ji passed away at 2.00 am today, he was admitted to Peoples Hospital, Bhopal. He had a block in his brain and slowly all his organs failed, including his lungs, and finally he succumbed to kidney failure,” Amit said, as quoted by an Indian Express report.

Actor Was Hospitalized Due to Brain Freeze

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the Kick actor was paralyzed due to a brain stroke after which he was shifted to the Bhopal hospital. The actor was admitted to the hospital for over two months for his treatment, but ultimately could not survive.

After the demise, Uday Dahia, a close friend of the late actor and fellow comedian, wrote a heartfelt message on Facebook. Sharing the picture of Arun Verma, Uday wrote, “It is with great sadness that I have to inform that my friend actor Arun Verma has passed away this morning in Bhopal, may God give him a place at his feet. Om Shanti!”

Actor Worked in Over 80 Films: Heropanti, Khalnayak & More

According to a News18 report, the actor took his last breath at around 2 am Thursday morning and the following day his last rites were performed at 4 pm in Bhopal. The late actor is survived by both of his parents and three siblings.

With over 80 films under his sleeves, the actor shared screens with some of the biggest stars in the country. Mr. Verma was also done with Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming flick Tiku Weds Sheru. Further, he has played supporting role in films such as Nayak, Prem Granth, Khalnayak, Heropanti. The actor made his debut back in 1987 with the film Dacait which also starred Sunny Deol.

Remo D’Souza’s Brother-in-Law Dies Due to Suicide

Arun Verma’s demise came around the same time the entertainment industry was rocked by another news of an untimely demise. On Thursday, choreographer-director Remo D’Souza’s brother-in-law Jason Watkins was found dead at his Andheri residence. Reportedly, the 47-year-old was suffering from bouts of depression.

Although he was rushed to the Cooper Hospital, Mumbai, he was declared dead on arrival. After his demise, his sister Lizelle spoke to TOI. In her interview with the media outlet, she said that her brother was dealing with some tough times. She further added that Jason couldn’t come to terms with their mother’s death as he was very close to her. Their mother reportedly passed away earlier in 2018.
