Vidhyut Jammwal’s, Neha Dhupia starrer action drama, Sanak is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Vidhyut Jammwal’s action sequences are spectacular but poor and repetitive script disappoints the spectators.
Details
This picture can only speak about one thing: action. It began on a decent track, in the first couple sequences generating hopes of seeing a potentially interesting plot unfold on screen, but as the bad guy Saju, played by Chandan Roy Sanyal, entered the picture, everything that was left to see was ‘Dishoom, Dishoom, Dishoom.’ However, Vidhyut is in top form, once again.
Sanak Starcast: Vidyut Jammwal, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Rukmini Maitra, and Neha Dhupia star in the film.
Sanak Director: Kanishk Verma
Storyline
Sanak is a hostage tale that actually occurs at a hospital. Vivaan (Vidyut Jammwal) is racing to see his sick wife Anshika (Rukmini Maitra), who is healing from a life-threatening operation. When a gang of terrorists commanded by Saju Solanki (Chandan Roy Sanyal) attempt to liberate a fellow criminal Ajay Pal Singh (Kiran Karmarkar) from the hospital facilities, the hospital becomes the center point of action. Officer Jayati Bhargav (Neha Dhupia) is in charge of arresting the evil men and neutralizing the turmoil.
Sanak Movie Review: Script Analysis
The screenplay by Ashish P Verma is fascinating but erratic. The first half seems to be well, with a few well-written parts. The Savior versus evil clashes over the phone also keeps spectators enthralled. However, the second half stretches terribly. There are some unsettled points as well. The content is monotonous and repetitive.
If you enjoy Vidyut Jammwal’s action, Sankak is a must-watch, but if you’re seeking some more, this one movie can disappoint you terribly.
Sanak Movie Review: Star Performance
Vidyut Jammwal has earned his place as Nation’s leading action star. He hits individuals with blinding speed and smashes them with his bare fists. The villain, Chandan Roy Sanyal, rushes onto the frame with a blaze, looking promising a lot. However, as time goes on, he develops to exhibit the odd features of a demented character, turning his decent performance into a mockery.

Sanak Movie Poster
Rukmini Maitra, who is marking her Bollywood debut, seems not impressive in her act. However, her chemistry with Vidyut is wonderful.
Neha Dhupia, in her role hardly has an opportunity to impress. The actress is wasted in the movie, except for blabbing a list of instructions and a small remark in a pivotal scene.

Sanak Movie Review: Direction and Music
Kanishk Verma rarely gets an opportunity to prove his directing abilities due to the weak screenplay.
Sanak has a lot of instances that contradict logic and leaves you perplexed. However, the hospital location enables Andy Long Nguyen to design some distinctive fight scenes, including an MRI machine and a Swiss ball. The fact that there is just a single song in the entire 117-minute movie goes to the filmmakers’ benefit. The movie’s main appeal is its action sequences.
