A disturbing video has been circulating online supposedly filmed by a passenger on the Coromandel Express just moments before the deadly train crash near Bahanaga in Balasore. The video shows a sanitation worker mopping the floor while other passengers sleep or chat with each other before a sudden jolt causes the person shooting the video to lose their balance and the recording abruptly turns to darkness as people can be heard screaming for their lives. Though the authenticity of the video cannot be confirmed, the terrifying screams of the passengers is enough to give one goosebumps.

On the 2nd of June 2020, a total of 288 passengers perished in the incident when the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express collided with a stationary goods train and the Yeshvantpur-Howrah Superfast Express as it had entered the loop line instead of the main line just after Bahanagar Bazar station. The GRP has since passed the investigation to the CBI, who are still looking into the cause of the accident.
