Veteran TV actress Shagufta Ali, who graced shows like Bepannah, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Sasural Simar Ka and more recently made buzz as she revealed her financial woes to an entertainment daily. She shared how her finances had depleted due to her and her mother’s poor help. Making things bad to worse was the pandemic due to which her projects had stalled and she couldn’t find any other work.
The story stirred the strings of many netizens and people showed their empathy by claiming that Shagufta receives her due, especially when she needs it the most. Somehow, their prayers were heard and the recent turn of events are its testement. The makers of Dance Deewane 3 have come forward to provide aid to Shagufta.

Hosts, Contestants, Judges All get Emotional
A new promo of the upcoming episode shows the actress sharing her woes on the Dance Deewane 3 stage. Her story leaves everyone teary eyed – from the contestants, the judges, to the hosts. After she completes her story, host Bharti rushes to hug her while judge Madhuri Dixit takes to the stage. She surprises Shagufta and provides her with a cheque of Rs 5 lakh on the behalf of the dance reality show team.

Receiving Generous Donation from Rohit Shetty
On receiving the cheque, the Laila Majnu actress was left emotional and with tears in her eyes she says, “Thank you so much. I have no words.” Recently, the actress also received a generous donation from filmmaker Rohit Shetty. The Golmaal and Singham franchise maker was approached by IFTDA (Indian Film and Technology Director’s Association) president Ashoke Pandit.

“I Spoke to Rohit and he immediately agreed to help Shagufta”: IFTDA President
The IFTDA president was quoted by Pink Villa saying-
“When I found out about Shagufta Ali’s financial troubles, I reached out to her to know how we can help her. After understanding her plight, I spoke to Rohit Shetty who immediately agreed to help Shagufta ji. He has donated a generous amount, and we are really thankful to him for that. I am reaching out to more people from the industry, and I have got a good response so far.”
“He has not even met me, and he still went all out”: Shagufta after receiving donation
Reacting to the help that she received, Shagufta spoke to a leading entertainment daily and said-
“He has never met me, we have not even come face to face. I have not even spoken to him once on the phone, and yet he went all out and did this. I’m absolutely grateful.”

The Challenging Patch of Shagufta Ali
Earlier, Shagufta took to media and finally came clean about her financial crunch. She shared how she had been diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago, and had recovered since. However, due to certain accidents she again had to get operated. Further, she was diagnosed with diabetes wish has ailed her feet and her eyes.
The actress claimed that she was unsure about opening up about her situation, however, she claimed that someone close to her urged her to come clean and talk about it so that she receives help. After coming clean, she told media that while most people were shocked to hear her situation, she was yet to receive an aid.
