Shahjahanpur Woman Sets herself on Fire, Brother Keeps Recording her Instead of Saving her | Video

In a blood-curdling incident reported from Shahjahanpur, a 31-year-old woman was caught on CCTV setting herself on fire. The CCTV footage also captured the disturbing moment when the brother of the woman pulled out a phone and kept recording her sister immolating herself, instead of rushing to save her. The horrific ordeal took place earlier on Sunday, in UP’s Shahjahanpur district.

Sources from the local community revealed that Saroj was driven to this desperate act following a heated altercation involving her parents, Sundarlal Yadav and Urmila, with their influential neighbors, Pawan Gupta and Suman Gupta. Adding fuel to the fire, Pawan’s wife, Prateeksha Gupta, had recently secured victory in the civic polls, further elevating their status within the community.

Disturbing visuals making round of social media shows a woman in purple salwaar-kameez standing outside the premises of her home, and lighting up her clothes, already doused with gasoline, with fire. What makes this chilling tale even more disturbing is the presence of her own brother, who, instead of coming to her rescue, chose to continue filming the ghastly scene.

The victim, Saroj, alleged that Pawan Gupta had been relentlessly harassing her, exploiting his newfound power and authority after his wife’s political triumph. As per an Amar Ujala report, Pawan’s wife won the civic polls with the BJP party.

Victim’s Family Were in Dispute with Local Leader’s Family

It is said that the turmoil began when their parents, Sundarlal Yadav and Urmila, found themselves embroiled in a bitter dispute with their influential neighbors, Pawan Gupta and his wife, Suman Gupta. According to reports, Pawan’s wife recently won civic polls, standing with the influential BJP.

The hapless victim, Saroj Yadav, claimed that she had been subjected to menacing threats by Pawan Gupta himself. It appeared that he was brazenly exerting his authority after his wife’s triumph in the local elections.

Matters reached a boiling point when the victim’s mother Urmila engaged in a heated argument with Suman and Pawan, resulting in the couple promptly alerting the authorities about the altercation.

To compound the Yadav family’s distress, the police intervened, promptly detaining Urmila and Sundarlal, dragging them away to the local police station. This heartbreaking turn of events shattered Saroj, pushing her to her absolute limit.

In a disturbing twist, it is speculated that the victim’s brother Sanjeev, along with his cousins, may have exploited their sister as a pawn to manipulate the narrative and implicate the opposing party in this convoluted feud.

Victim in Critical Condition

A senior officer, privy to the case, disclosed that the two-minute video serves as a crucial piece of evidence, shedding light on the dark intentions of Saroj’s brother and his cohorts. Meanwhile, Saroj has suffered grave injuries from her neck to her waist, and her condition is reported to be critical.
