Followers of all things Shark Tank India were elated earlier on Friday as judge Ghazal Alagh welcomed her second baby boy and called him ‘baby shark’ in an adorable post she penned. The Mamaearth co-founder took to the social media and penned a heartfelt and adorable announcement message.
Along with the message she also shared a gorgeous picture of the little baby boy’s hand over her and her husband’s palm. “And then there were 2, our second son Ayaan is here to make our lives even more fun. Ayaan means ‘blessing from god’ and that’s what he is. Thanks for all the kind wishes and blessings. #babyshark”, she captioned the picture with on Instagram.
Few hours after the announcement, Ghazal shared a video of her holding the newborn and looking him lovingly. Several netizens flooded the comment section of the announcement posts and congratulated the Indian entrepreneur for becoming a mother once again. Shark Tank judge Anupam Mittal’s wife also congratulated Ghazal and wrote, “Congratulations and lots of love!”.

On Friday, Mamaearth co-founder and Shark Tank India judge Ghazal Alagh sent across a wave of happiness in her fanbase with the news of becoming a mother. Ghazal and her husband Varun welcomed their second baby boy Ayaan on Friday. The newborn has been named ‘Ayaan’ and Ghazal took to Instagram to share the meaning of her newborn son’s name and thanking people for their wishes.

“…And then there were 2”: Ghazal Alagh’s Adorable Announcement
Taking to Instagram, Ghazal shared a picture of her husband Varun, their eldest son Agastya, and her own palm underneath the hand of the newborn baby. She also wrote an adorable caption with the picture which read, “And then there were 2, our second son Ayaan is here to make our lives even more fun. Ayaan means ‘blessing from god’ and that’s what he is. Thanks for all the kind wishes and blessings”. She also added #babyshark hashtag with the caption, an obvious reference to Shark Tank India where she is one of the judges.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Anupam Mittal’s Wife & More Congratulate Ghazal
Several netizens congratulated Ghazal for her bundle of joy and dropped wonderful messages and heart emojis in the comment section of the post. Influential netizens also broke ranks to congratulate Alagh. Shilpa Shetty Kundra congratulated Alagh and commented, “Oh Wow! Congratulations Mama”.
Shark Tank India judge Anupam Mittal’s wife Aanchal Kumar also expressed her joy and commented, “Congratulations and lots of love!”. How Ghazal & Varun Become ‘Mamaearth’ Parents
For the unversed, Ghazal Alagh and her husband Varun founded Mamaearth back in 2016. It all started with the couple not being able to find safe products for their son Agastya.
“We realized the need for safe products & their unavailability in the Indian market. We were seeking the help of our friends and family traveling abroad to bring natural products for us. And we were not alone, we came across a lot of people who were doing the same. That is when we thought of researching the Indian market for the best ingredients and Safety standards that we want for our babies,” Ghazal was quoted saying during an interview.
The couple hence decided to take things in their own hands and create a line of skin products that is not healthy for their son but for people across the nation. And that’s how Mamaearth turned from a concept into reality.
