Amid new developments on the Raj Kundra pornography case, Kundra’s wife Shilpa is in the news again. Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Shilpa Shetty’s mother Sunanda are booked in an alleged fraud case. On Monday, Mid-Day reported that Shilpa and her mother will be questioned by a team Lucknow police who will be coming to Mumbai. The two FIRs filed against Shilpa and her mother have been filed from the Hazratganj and Vibhuti Khand police stations, both based in Lucknow.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has found herself in another pickle. The fitness and yoga enthusiast, television show judge and former IPL franchise owner was earlier in the news when her husband Raj Kundra was apprehended by the Mumbai Police in relation to a pornography scandal. Kundra was arrested for producing allegedly pornographic content and then distributing it over an application called hotshots.

What’s going on with Shilpa-Sunanda Shetty?
Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who has been lately avoiding press and has been keeping her profile low, has been booked under charges related to fraud. Moreover, her own mother, Sunanda Shetty too has been booked under the same charge.
According to the police, a team of Lucknow Police will be coming down to Mumbai to question Shetty and her mother based on FIRs raised at Lucknow’s Hazratganj and Vibhuti Khand police station. While the intricate details of the whole case are still unknown, the revealed pieces of information point to land fraud done by Shetty and her mother under the pretext of opening a fitness chain.
What fraud has Shilpa and Sunanda have been alleged to have committed?
Reports are citing police officials that have said that Shilpa runs a chain of fitness center named Iosis Wellness Center. Shilpa Shetty officially serves as the chairman of the chain while her mother Sunanda serves as the official director of the company. According the complaints, Shetty took crores of rupees from 2 people under the pretext of opening up a branch of the center and failed to fulfill the promise.

Who Filed the Complaint against Shilpa-Sunanda Shetty?
In the matter, an Omaxe Heights resident Jyotsna Chauhan took to the Vibhuti Khand police station while Rohit Veer Chouhan took to the Hazratganj police station. Both the complainants have filed the plea under cheating. So far, reports are claiming that both Shilpa and Sunanda have received notice by the two respective police stations.
What happens now?
Mid-Day reported that Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjeev Suman claimed that an investigation officer will leave for Mumbai on August 9 to question Shilpa and her mother Sunanda. The case, according to Suman, is high-profile, and thus, all the points in the matter will be closely examined by the investigation officer.

What is going on with Raj Kundra pornography scandal?
Meanwhile, in the Raj Kundra pornography scandal, the Bombay High Court stayed on Raj Kundra’s arrest by rejecting pleas that challenged remand orders passed by the Mumbai magistrate court. Along with Kundra, his business associate Ryan Thorpe too is remanded in the matter.
The High Court in the matter ruled-
“It would lead to a conclusion that the arrest of the petitioners and remand to custody by the metropolitan magistrate dated July 20 is within conformity of the provisions of law. The impugned order of the magistrate does not suffer any error which would require any interference by this court.”
Raj Kundra is still in jail and so is his business associate.
