Smriti Zubin Irani, the Union Minister, turned author and soon she is launching her first novel, Lal Salaam, through Westland Publishing. The novel ‘Lal Salaam’ is expected to be launch on 29 Nov 2021.
Lal Salaam is an action-packed novel that “humanizes the everyday difficulties and moral concerns that are inherent to modern life,” as per the publisher Westland Publications.

The novel is a touching tribute to the great men and women who have offered a lifetime duty to the nation, notably in addressing the issues in the red corridor, and was sparked by the terrible deaths of 76 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troops in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, in April 2010.
‘Lal Salaam’ narrates the tale of Vikram Pratap Singh, a young officer, and the obstacles he encounters in a system filled with shady deals and corruption.
