The CISF Officer who recently stopped Salman Khan at airport is now confirmed by the security force to not have been discharged but rather ‘suitably rewarded’.
CISF confirmed the report after there were rumours by various news platform that the security officer in question was penalized after he stopped the Bollywood actor at the airport.
An ETimes report stated that the officer’s cell phone was seized by the authorities as well.
Details
Salman Khan, who’s adored by his army of fans for portraying the dashing & dynamic police officer in franchises such as Dabangg and Wanted, recently received a reality check.
While making his way through to the Terminal 3 of the Mumbai International Airport, the on-screen police officer was stopped by a CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) officer who asked him to first present his documents.
The entire ordeal was recorded in a video and reiterated the idea that even the biggest of celebrities are not above and beyond law.
Rumours Turn into Fake News
However, ETimes reported that the CISF officer was penalized by the security force for doing his job. Although it didn’t cite a source, the ETimes report claimed that the security force has taken away his phone for speaking to a media organization of Odisha.
As reported by the Bollywood daily, the officer’s phone was taken away as he breached the protocol of speaking to a third party. The seizure of the phone also makes sure that he doesn’t, in future, talk to media groups.
Not only ETimes but New Indian Express, India.com and other news platforms also shared the news without confirmation.
“Officer Concerned Suitably Rewarded”: CISF Quashes Rumours

Replying to a Twitter user, the official handle of CISF wrote, “The contents of this tweet are incorrect & without factual basis. In fact, the officer concerned has been suitably rewarded for exemplary professionalism in the discharge of his duty.”
