It has been long since Kapil Sharma’s ‘reel wife’ Sumona Chakravarti has taken a break from the famous ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. And now finally she is back in the show. She also addressed the reasons for which she was not a part of the recently shared show promos. Not just Sumona, even the judge of the show Archana Puran Singh also confirmed her Sumona’s comeback. Sumona appeared in a promo of The Kapil Sharma Show.
Sumona Featured in a Promo, Confirming her Comeback
A video was shared on the SonyTv channel’s Instagram account on Wednesday in which Sumona confirmed her return and also teased the upcoming season.
The video was captioned as, “Aapke chehre par hasi laane ke liye, @sumonachakravarti toh taiyyar hai! sirf teen din aur, phir hasi do guna nahi teen guna badhegi! Watch #TheKapilSharmaShow, from 21st Aug, Sat-Sun 9:30pm, only on Sony Entertainment Television.”

While Sumona has confirmed her return, it is still unclear if she would appear in the debut weekend of the show. Several promos from the upcoming weekend’s episodes, featuring Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn, have been shared online but Sumona isn’t visible in any of them.

The actress shared a picture from her vanity van from the sets of the show, on Wednesday. She can be seen wearing a black tank top and subtle makeup. With this post she confirmed her comeback. She captioned the post just by a “Hiiii” remark.

Archana Puran Singh Confirms Sumona’s Comeback too
The Kapil Sharma Show’s judge Archana Puran Singh disclosed that Sumona is returning in the show but in a bold and fresh look. In a recent interview Archana said that, “If you think that Sumona is not in the show, then you are going to get a surprise soon. There is Sumona in the show but her avatar will be very different, but we will have the same lovely Sumona.”
Archana shared a behind-the-scenes video featuring herself, Sumona and also actor Sharad Kelkar. In the video, Archana runs towards Sumona and hugged her. They also shared a cute interaction and some joyful moments.
Archana then said, “Yeh hai show mein, hum inke begair show nahi karenge (She is there in the show. We will never do make the show without her).” Archana further said that Sumona will now inform fans why she wasn’t a part of the promos.
Surprisingly, Sumona said, “Woh kabhi nahi pata chalega kisi ko (no one will ever get to know that) why I was not in the promo.” And suddenly a statement made Archana laugh out loud when Sumona sarcastically said that “Stars don’t need promos”.

Sumona’s Past Post While Leaving the Show
When Kapil announced the show’s return, Sumona shared a cryptic note in which she opened up about being jobless and battling endometriosis since 2011. “Did a proper workout at home after ages…. Some days i feel guilty, because boredom is privilege. I may be unemployed & yet am able to feed my family & myself. That is privilege. Sometimes i feel guilty. Specially when am feeling low due to pms’in. The mood swings play havoc emotionally,” she had said.
