Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty launched a campaign called ‘Dawa bhi Dua bhi’, which provides free and authentic medications for the underprivileged. Amid the on-going deadly COVID-19 pandemic, several Bollywood stars are taking a step ahead to help the people in need and one such is actor Suniel Shetty.

How Suniel Shetty Announced the campaign launch?

Suniel took to his Twitter handle and shared a video speaking about the initiative. In this video he can be seen addressing the people about the details of the campaign and also addressing about the current situation due to Covid-19 pandemic.

In the tweet he wrote that, “There is no power for change, greater than a community discovering what it cares about.” Delighted to be a part of “Dawa bhi Dua bhi”, an initiative @BDRPharma, my team @FTCTalent and I have taken up, to ensure that the right medications reach the people in need.”

In this video Suniel can be seen briefing about the new initiative, which is a joint effort in collaboration with BDR Pharma. Further he wrote that, “This is a very difficult time. Today everyone is in equal need of prayers and medication. I Suniel Shetty, in collaboration with BDR Pharmaceuticals, am starting a new initiative ‘Dawa Bhi Dua Bhi’.”

Explaining about the collaboration further Suniel says that, “If you or any of your family members are in need of medicines, and are facing problems in procuring them, don’t worry. Me and BDR Pharmaceuticals will try our best to get those medicines to you. This is the time to help one another and to hold each other’s hands. ‘Dawa Bhi Dua Bhi’ is for that.”

Suniel’s initiative for distributing Oxygen concentrators

Suniel had joined an initiative to provide free oxygen concentrators to the ones who were in need. He had announced the news by tweeting, “We are going through some testing times, but a ray of hope in this is the way our people have joined hands to help each other.”

In a corresponding tweet, he had pleaded his followers to seek help, and further added, “This is an appeal to all my friends and fans. DM me if you need help, if you know someone who needs help, or if you want to contribute and be a part of this mission. Please amplify this as much as you can and help us help them.”

Other celebs in support of the campaign

Suniel Shetty’s (KVN Foundation) ‘Hera Pheri’ co-star and thespian Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle Khanna have also donated a hundred oxygen concentrators to an organization. Twinkle Khanna keeps her twitter updated with all their activities under the organization.

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn have had donated a sum of Rs 1 crore to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) through his organisation ‘NY Foundation’ to help set up a 20-bed COVID-19 ICU at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park.
