In Tamil Nadu, a woman was arrested after she poured hot oil on her boyfriend after she learned about beating cheated by him. The incident was reported from Tamil Nadu’s Erode and the woman who let her anger get the best of her was identified as B Meena Devi, while her boyfriend who faced the punishment of his alleged actions, was identified as 27-year-old A Karthik.
According to the Bhavani police, Meena was having an extra-marital affair with Karthik, who is also from Varnapuram, for more than two years. As per a TOI report, Meena is married to Karthik’s cousin, but the two of them had been involved in a secret relationship. The two had been involved with each other in an affair for the last two years.
A twist in their tale emerged when Karthik fell in love with another woman. When Meena found out about Karthik’s new relationship, she started pressurizing him to marry her. However, Karthik refused to do so.
On Saturday afternoon, Meena picked up a quarrel with Karthik at her house and demanded that he marry her. When Karthik refused, Meena poured hot oil on him, causing him to sustain 15% burn injuries.
The Bhavani police held an inquiry with Karthik and registered a case against Meena.

When he refused, Meena flew into a rage and poured hot oil on him, causing him to suffer 15% burn injuries.
Boyfriend Now in Stable Condition
Karthik, in a desperate bid to save himself, rushed to a private hospital and claimed that his lover had attacked him with acid. Doctors provided him with immediate medical care and referred him to another private hospital in Erode town, where he is now in a stable condition.

Probe Launched
The Bhavani police quickly launched an inquiry into the incident and registered a case against Meena. She was detained for questioning, but the police have not yet made any arrests. The village is now abuzz with speculation about the incident, with some questioning the sanctity of relationships and others marveling at the lengths some people will go for love.
