In a confusion of epic proportions, Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth was mourned by netizens instead of Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla. The actor labelled the confusion as ‘targeted hate’ and expressed his displeasure by taking to Twitter and claiming that he was on the receiving end of ‘targeted hate’.

On Thursday, September 2, Indian television Industry was shaken and stirred by the death of popular actor and personality Sidharth Shukla.

The Balika Vadhu actor was just 40-years-old at the time of his death and was at the prime of his career, having won the popular reality show Bigg Boss in 2020. After his death, fans across the nation along with Shukla’s peers from the industry expressed their shock and mourned his loss.

Meanwhile, the Sidharth namesake from the South Indian film industry (with just one extra D in the spelling), found himself being mourned on Twitter and took offense to the confusion.

The ‘Rang De Basanti’ actor was tagged by social media users in posts and tweets related to the death of Sidharth Shukla. The actor soon shared the confusion and claimed that he was being the target of hate and harassment.

“Targeted hate and harassment. What have we been reduced to?”, the actor’s tweet read, with an image of a screenshot of a tweet which had his image along with R.I.P Siddharth image.

The actor received support from his loyal fanbase with a user claiming that the post was made to seek attention and instant gratification, while other asking the actor to sue the people behind the post.

It should be noted that this was not the first time the Enakkul Oruvan actor chose to be vocal and outspoken on something he believed in. The actor has in the past as well taken to Twitter and lashed out on the current political regime, along with things he believed to be wrong.

Meanwhile, another actor was brought to the limelight after Sidharth Shukla passed away. After the 40-year-old actor’s death, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who had died earlier last year, was trending all across social media platforms.

For the unversed, popular television actor turned film actor Sushant Singh Rajput was taken to the Cooper Hospital after his body was found hung at his place. What followed was a slew of allegations regarding foul play in the death. Rhea Chakraborty, Rajput’s girlfriend was caught up in the whirlwind of defamatory allegations by media and masses. CBI has yet to reveal the incidents that may have led to Rajput’s death.

The New Cooper Hospital Conspiracy Theory

However, Sidharth Shukla’s fans remained widely suspicious over the actor’s death over the fact that his dead body too was taken to the Cooper Hospital. Many fans are propagating conspiracy theory that “outsider” actors are being targeted and somehow, Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital is involved in the racket.
