In an interesting turn of events, South Indian superstar Vijay has filed a civil lawsuit against 11 people, including his parents. Recently, his father opened up on the matter and claimed that this was nothing more than a father son clash. According to the reports, Vijay took to the Chennai court and filed a civil law suit against the persons mentioned above. The actor wants the Court to intervene and restrain them from conducting meetings or similar activities on his name.

The Facts of the Matter
Thalapathy Vijay aka Joseph Vijay enjoys a massive fanbase in the South Indian diaspora. He’s especially popular among the youth due to his action-filled films. Recently, the actor took everyone by surprise by filing a lawsuit against 11 people, including his mother Shobha and his father, SA Chandrashekar, who’s also a filmmaker.
Reportedly, Vijay is seeking a restraint from the court from letting anyone involved using his name for public meetings and gatherings.
Vijay’s Father Registers Political party
To get into the heart of the matter, one must rewind to November 2020. Back then, the actor’s father, Mr. Chandrasekhar registered a political party. The name of the party was All India Thalapathy Vijay MakkalIyakkam.

Thalapathy Reveals that He Has No Connection to Party
It was soon revealed that the actor’s father would serve as the party’s general secretary while the actor’s mother would act as the treasurer. This led to massive rumours of Vijay foray into politics. Eventually, Vijay announced that he has no connection with the party and will also not be following his father’s political inclination.
Meanwhile, his father had claimed that in the past, he had established multiple fan clubs for Vijay and had not sought for permission to do so from his son. Further, he added that the party was his own initiative and had no direct or indirect connection with his actor son.

After all the controversy subsided, Mr. Chandrasekhar took a hiatus from the idea of establishing the political party. However, ahead of the local polls, there are several posters of the political party that have appeared in Chennai. All of this has likely to have led to the actor press charges against his parents.

Meanwhile, a Times of India reports cited Mr. Chandrasekhar confirming the legal battle. However, shrugging off the seriousness of the matter, the actor’s father said that every father and son in a family have a clash, but they come together later.
