How many times it has happened with you that you are chatting with a secretly special friend of yours and your friend or colleague sitting beside you takes the liberty to lean a little and read your chats from your phone screen. It is irritating and intimidating at the same time. Well, now you do not need to worry about that friend of yours, because this Turkish guy has found a way to protect your data from being looked upon directly from your phone’s screen.
Celal Göger, a phone repair store owner is the owner of a mobile phone repair shop in Turkey. He has come up with this brilliant invention, which allows you to protect your mobile phone’s screen from unusual peekers. As being called ‘The Invisible Phone Screen’ is a type of mobile phone screen which allows you to keep your display secret from the people around you. The phone screen shows perfectly white after you install it on your phone. However, only the owner of the phone can see the contents of the screen with the help of a special chip enables a pair of glasses.
The person who wears the chip-enabled glasses will be able to operate and look the data on the screen normally whereas the people around will only be able to see a plain white screen.
Celal wanted to find a way to keep our phones private from others. So he wore his magnifying repair glasses, readied his tools and sat in a chair for 6 months straight until he successfully developed a screen which could keep display hidden with others along with a chip which lets you look at the data through your glasses.
“I made the first one in 6 months, the second one in the next 4 months. The third one took only 2 months to be completed. Now I am so well versed with the process, that I can make a pair of Invisible screen & a chipset in merely 10 days,” said Celal in an interview with Quartz.
As further explained by Celal, the screen can be turned white with an app which needs to be installed on the mobile phone. Then you have to put on the magic glasses. The chip-enabled glasses unscramble the image and ‘Tada’your phone is on James Bond mode now.
Celal has developed only prototypes for now. His invention currently works on the iPhone only as he developed the prototype taking iPhone as the base. However, he is looking forward to copyright this technology so that he can begin selling it to the mobile phone manufacturers and other technology service providers.
“If I will be successful, it will be possible to adapt the chip for all kinds of phone & glasses,” Celal further added.
This is a groundbreaking technology and will allow people to operate their phones even in the open spaces without worrying about the privacy.
