Sad news has surfaced from the world of Indian entertainment industry as TV actor Vir Surryavanshi reportedly died at the age of 46 during a workout. The actor reportedly collapsed in gym, and came in the increasing list of new-age actors who appeared to be fit on screen, and yet died in a tragic twist of fate. Earlier this year, comedian Raju Srivastava was also in a gym where he collapsed, and met his death weeks after being hospitalized.

According to reports, Siddhaanth was at a gym in Mumbai, where he collapsed and fell on the ground. The 46-year-old actor was rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. While the doctors did try to revive the actor for another 45 minutes, their efforts were in vain and he was declared dead.

The development was also confirmed by television actor Jay Bhanushali who spoke to media and also shared a tribute story on his Instagram. As per an Indian Express report, Jay was told about Vir’s untimely death by mutual friends. Jay too confirmed that the actor was in gym and suffered a collapse.

An actor and model by trade, Siddhaanth Vir Surryavanshi, also known as Anand Suryavanshi, made a debut with superhit television show produced by Ekta Kapoor called ‘Kkusum’. He also acted in other shows including ‘KasautiiZindagii Kay’, ‘Krishna Arjun’ and ‘Kya Dill Mein Hai’.

The Facts of the Matter

The Indian entertainment industry is mourning the untimely death of popular television actor Vir Surryavanshi. Born Siddhaanth Vir Surryavanshi, he was also known as Anand Suryavanshi. Earlier on Friday, the actor was at a gym for a workout, where he collapsed.

Doctors Tried to Revive Vir

The 46-year-old actor was later rushed to Mumbai-based Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where the doctors tried to revive him for the next 45 minutes. However, he couldn’t be saved. Vir Surryavanshi died due to cardiac arrest, reports have stated.

The actor is survived by wife, supermodel Alesia Raut, and their two children. As per an Indian Express report, the actor’s friend Jay Bhanushali also confirmed that Vir was at the gym when he collapsed.

Tributes Pour All Over on social media

Following the actor’s death, many other celebrities and influential people took to their social media and offered their condolences and tributes.

‘Suryaputra Karn’ actor Gautam Rode took to Twitter and wrote – “Really shocked to have read about Siddhaanth’s passing away. My condolences to friends and family. Om shanti.”

Meanwhile, actor Jay Bhanushali also took to Instagram and shared a picture of Siddhaanth. He also captioned the story with a caption that read – “gone to soon.”

VJ and television actor Shaleen Malhotra wrote an elaborate tribute message on Instagram. Sharing a picture of the late actor with himself, Shaleen wrote – “Gained on a big brother, lost you too soon big man… will still remember all the suggestions and advices you gave me. The hacks for how you’ve always looked this good … I wish I can look as good as you did when I reach that age… param Bhayia for karan and a friend/ brother for me… you’ll be missed .. @_siddhaanth_.”

Who was Vir Surryavanshi?

Starting his career as a model, Suryavanshi stepped into the world of television world by having his first debut in Ekta Kapoor’s popular drama show ‘Kkusum’. He also played pivotal characters in shows including, ‘Kasauti Zindagii Kay’, ‘Krishna Arjun’, and more.

The actor had first tied the knot with Ira, and the couple divorced earlier in 2015. He then married VJ and fashion choreographer Alesia Raut with whom she has a daughter, and a son, that Raut had in her first marriage.
