After multiple rounds of inconclusive talks with the center, the farm unions suffered another anti-climactic stalemate where they had to reject the proposal sent by the center promising amendments.

The agitated farmer’s union leaders announced that since the government has refused to repel all the three laws the farmer’s have been protesting against since more than 2 weeks, the unions will further escalate the protest. Additionally, they also said that they will be boycotting all the products under the belt of Reliance industries and Adani industries, two mega corporations that allegedly fuel the revenue stream of BJP.

As the story develops, thousands of Indians across the country have taken a stand with the farmer’s on social media and Twitter has been full of tweets with the hashtag #BoycottAmbaniAdani and #WeUnitedForFarmers. With such an overwhelming response, #BoycottAmbaniAdani and #BoycottJio were two of the highest tweeted hashtags on 9th December 2020. Let’s look at how Indians came together on Twitter in solidarity for the farmers.

Some Twitter users created rib-tickling memes & insightful comics and took part in the conversation in their own way.
