The Facts of the Matter

No! KL Rahul’s Dismissal Was Not Unfair – It was Legal Delivery
At the expense of disappointing a lot of Indian cricket fans, we would like to add that KL Rahul’s dismissal was actually fair and Afridi did not, in fact ball a no-ball. The No-Ball rule states – “If the bowler bowls without some part of the front foot behind the popping crease (either grounded or in the air) when it lands. If the front foot of a bowler lands behind the crease and slides beyond, then it is not a no-ball.”
In KL Rahul’s case, the foot of the baller slipped after it landed behind the popping crease. So even if it would’ve been given for third-umpire, the ball would’ve remained a legal delivery.
