In a shocker of an incident reported from Ujjain, a mother Googled way to kill her 3-month daughter and ended up drowning her mercilessly. On October 12, 2021, the body of a 3-month-old baby girl was found in Ujjain by the police. After multiple weeks of investigation, the police reached to a truth that was so horrifying, it sent a chill down their spine.

Reportedly, during the preliminary investigation, the police browsed the search history that was on the smartphone of the mother of the baby girl. On investigation, the police were shocked to see that the woman had searched for different ways on killing her daughter on Google. The woman was later arrested by the police.

From the rape case of Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman was gang-raped and killed by a priest and his accomplices, to the Hathras rape where the victim was cremated in mysterious circumstances. Crime reports like these tells us that human depravity is not limited to a gender or a geographic location.

Recently, a woman from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh was found guilty of killing her 3-month-old baby by drowning her.

The Facts of the Matter

In Ujjain district’s Khachrod town, a dead body of a 3-month-old was identified. The body of the baby girl was found on October 12 and the police took a couple of weeks to come to a horrific reasoning behind the crime. According to the preliminary investigation, it was found out that the mother of the baby had searched for how a baby of such a young age can be killed, and then acted on the information.

Missing Complaints Lodged, Dead Body Found

During the festive season of the Navratri, a missing person’s complaint was lodged at the Railway Station Police Station in Khachrod. The complaint was lodged by the father of the baby who is an owner of an online business.

In a few hours, the body of the 3-month-old baby, named Veerti, was found inside the water storage tank from her own house. The mother’s name was later revealed as Swati Bhatewara and the father’s name was revealed to be Arpit Bhatewara.

Investigation Begins, Mother’s Google Search History Revealed

According to TI Ravindra Yadav, Swati Bhatewara was arrested based on incriminating evidences against her. A Patrika report cited sources who claimed that before murdering her own daughter, Swati had taken to Google. On her phone, the police found her search history which indicated that Swati had searched for things such as “murdering by drowning in water”.

Searching Began 20 Days After Baby’s Birth

Moreover, Swati had reportedly searched info regarding her daughter’s murder since the day she was born. As Veerti was born on July 6th, Swati’s search history indicated that her searches around the baby’s murder started after 20 days of her birth, July 26th.

The search history also showed that on October 10, Swati searched about how she can drown the baby and how she should hold the baby’s face so that the process is hastened.

Swati Was Involved in Arguments, Had Mental Issues

The report also adds that Swati was involved in arguments right after her marriage that took place in 2018. Further, she also pressurized her husband into living separately with her. In the past, Swati had also claimed that she had mental issues, of which, she was given treatment.
