A 25-year-old man in Unnao, UP was arrested for raping and murdering his girlfriend after he raped her till she fainted and started bleeding. The accused reportedly took “energy pills” before committing the heinous crime. The incident was reported from Unnao, Uttar Pradesh and occurred earlier last week. The accused, identified as 25-year-old Raj Gautam, told cops that he got scared after he realized his girlfriend had started bleeding profusely, and had fled the scene of crime.
The matter came to the fore when the victim was found by her sister lying unconscious in the pool of her own blood when she returned home. She alerted her family, who rushed the victim to the local district hospital, where the victim was declared dead on arrival. An autopsy was conducted which confirmed rape. The triggering fact of the crime is that the victim met her death due to excessive bleeding due to shock and hemorrhage.
When the cops took the 25-year-old youth into questioning, he initially tried to mislead them by claiming that a 28-year-old neighbor and another 65-year-old woman were involved in the matter. However, he later confessed to the crime.
During investigation, the cops found a chat between the accused and victim, wherein the latter refused the accused when he said that he is coming over.
The Facts of the Matter
In another spine-chilling incident of crime against woman emerging from Uttar Pradesh, a Unnao-based youth reportedly raped his girlfriend till she fainted and started bleeding. Later during the interrogation, the accused told cops he had taken “energy pills” before committing the crime.
The police also found a chat between the accused and victim wherein the accused had said that he would be coming over, and the victim had refused to entertain him.

Victim was a Second Year Grad Student
The accused in the matter has been identified as 25-year-old Raj Gautam, while the victim was a second-year graduation student.
The matter came to the fore after the 18-year-old victim was found lying unconscious in the pool of her own blood by her sister. The victim’s family alerted the cops and rushed her to the nearest hospital, where the doctors declared her dead-on arrival.
Autopsy Report Shakes Many to Core
The autopsy report that came in the aftermath of the incident was so spine-chilling, it shook many officers involved in the investigation to their core. The autopsy report confirmed, that not only was the victim raped, but she died because of excessive bleeding from shock and hemorrhage.
Soon, an investigation was kicked off in the matter and the 25-year-old man was taken into questioning.
Accused Tried to Mislead the Cops
During questioning, the accused tried to mislead the police by claiming that a 28-year-old neighbour and another 65-year-old woman in neighbour were involved in the incident.
However, as the cops investigated the matter thoroughly, the accused confessed to the crime.

The Spine-Chilling Confession
As per a Hindustan Times report, the accused told cops that the victim was alone when he went to her home and raped her.
He also told cops that he consumed two energy enhancing pills before his heinous actions.
The accused in the questioning claimed that despite the victim’s protest, he continued with the act till she fainted and started bleeding. Seeing the victim in an almost unconscious state and bleeding, scared the accused, who then ran away from the crime scene.
