In a heartbreaking development, a man in UP got shot trying to save dog from the bullet fired by a drunk man, and succumbed to the bullet wound. Shockingly enough, the accused’s family have since been alleged of threatening the victim’s family and accepting a “settlement” in exchange of not pursuing the matter. The incident was reported from Mainpuri district’s Nagla Penth. The victim was identified as 25-year-old Deepak Saxena.
According to reports, the 25-year-old farmer was working at a farm when the 35-year-old accused Radheshyam Yadav, started firing at a stray dog for no particular reason. Although the dog managed to dodge the first bullet fired by the drunk man, the second bullet would’ve ended his life had it not been for Saxena.
Saxena intervened to save the animal. However, Yadav was enraged seeing Saxena intervening and spoiling his “shooting practice”. He pointed the gun at Saxena and pulled the trigger, killing him on the spot. Locals claim that had Saxena not tried to save the dog, his life would’ve not come to the abrupt halt.
The victim’s father was later quoted in a TOI report saying, “My son was murdered in cold blood and now Yadav’s family members are threatening us to come to a settlement, warning us not to pursue the matter further.
The Facts of the Matter
We have all heard of stories where dogs go to lengths to bring comfort and joys to humans. That’s why for centuries, dogs are called “man’s best friend”. However, there are times when humans go above and beyond the call to help the four-legged best friend’s and such instances must be celebrated.
In one such incident, which is part heartbreaking and heartwarming, a man in Uttar Pradesh saved a dog from being shot at and potentially being killed. However, the man was shot in the aftermath for saving the dog, and succumbed to his bullet wounds. The incident was reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district’s Nagla Penth area.
Victim was At Farm When Incident Occurred
According to reports, 25-year-old farmer Deepak Saxena, was planting potatoes at a farm when 35-year-old Radheshyam Yadav, who was reportedly drunk, came out of with a gun. Before Saxena would know, Yadav pointed his gun at a dog and shot at it. Thankfully the dog managed to dodge the first bullet.
Yadav once again tried to shoot the dog down and Saxena was able to intervene at the right moment and save the dog for the second time in the day. Unfortunately, this didn’t go down well with Radheshyam Yadav, who was a known goon in the area.
Drunk Accused Shoots Man Who Saved Dog
Seeing his “shooting practice” foiled, Yadav pointed his gun at Saxena and shot him, killing him on the spot. Following the incident, Saxena’s father, filed a complaint against the accused. The cops have registered an FIR under multiple sections of the IPC, and have formed teams to nab the on-the-run accused.
Accused’s Family Threatening Victim’s Family
The accused’s father spoke to news outlet TOI, claiming that the accused’s family has been threatening his family to “settle” the matter in exchange of not pursuing it further.
“My son was murdered in cold blood and now Yadav’s family members are threatening us to come to a settlement, warning us not to pursue the matter further. Our life is in danger. We might have to leave the village,” Saxena’s father said.
