In shocking incidents reported separately from Madhya Pradesh, some teachers entered the school by walking on “bridge” made of school chairs. Meanwhile, some students were caught on camera holding umbrella as roof leaked above them. The two separate incidents were reported from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, two states that have been experiencing heavy rainfall due to the ongoing monsoon season.
According to reports, in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district, a teacher reportedly crossed over at least half feet of water deposited near the school premises by having children set up chairs as a make shift bridge. After the video of the incident went viral, the teacher who was caught on cam crossing the ‘chair bridge’ was suspended.
It should be noted that the school compound was flooded earlier on July 27 due to heavy rain.
Meanwhile, another video emerged from Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni district, where school students were seen holding an umbrella as the roof leaked above them. Reportedly, the video was taken from a government school in Ghansor.
Earlier today, a similar incident of questionable state of education in India was reported from Uttar Pradesh where a teacher was seen getting massage from a young student in classroom.
The Facts of the Matter
In April 2022, the BJP government slammed the AAP party for the state of schools in the national capital. The Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta told media that several schools visited by BJP leaders did not have libraries and laboratories, making them “unfit” for children to get education.
Meanwhile, recently, the concerning state of some government schools in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, two BJP run states, have emerged in the form of viral videos.
In one video, shared from Uttar Pradesh, a teacher can be seen entering the school on a makeshift bridge made out of chairs, set up by the school’s children. Meanwhile, in one video, emerging from Madhya Pradesh, children were seen studying under umbrellas as their school roof leaked.

UP Teacher Walks Across Bridge Made of Chairs
In Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district, a teacher identified as Pallavi was suspended, after a video of her entering into a flooded schools using plastic chairs as a makeshift bridge went viral. The video of the incident shows school students running around, grabbing chairs and setting them in flooded compound of the school as the teacher crosses it over.
After the video of the incident went viral, Neetu Singh, Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA), commented on the matter and was quoted saying, “We have taken cognizance of the video. Higher up officials also know about it. We have suspended the teacher Pallavi.”

MP: Students Study Under Shade of Umbrella as Roof Leaks
In another incident which sheds light on the concerning state of government schools in Madhya Pradesh, a video went viral which showed students studying under the shade of umbrellas as the roof above them leaked.
According to reports, the incident occurred at a government school in Ghansor, a small town near Seoni near Maharashtra. In the video, students can be seen sitting on classroom floor, studying under the shade of several big umbrellas as the rainwater continues dripping through the decaying roof.
