However, a man from Uttar Pradesh crossed all the limits on being clingy, and gatecrashed the wedding of a woman he was in a relationship with. In one furious sway, the man applied sindoor on the woman’s head as if it was the gulaal we all use to play Holi.

Later, people from the wedding tried to take control of the situation. The entire incident was caught on video which has since gone viral on Twitter.

We have all seen toxic ex-lovers in Bollywood films who dance in a drunken haze at their lover’s wedding, professing their unrequited love. While one would think that it’s just fiction and real life is not as filmy, we’ve got a refresher for you.

A man from Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur gatecrashed his ex’s wedding. What followed was something that can be considered straight from a 90s Bollywood film.

What Did the Video Show?

The video shows a bride and groom on their wedding stage with garlands in their hands. Right before the couple put garlands on each other’s necks, a man turns up. Wearing a scarf, the man can be seen putting, well, smearing the sindoor on the bride’s forehead. As the woman tries resisting the grasp of the man, the jilted lover continues to smear huge portions of the red powder on the woman’s forehead and rest of her face.

Meanwhile, the groom is transfixed, and watches the whole ordeal with the garland still in his hand, apparently in complete shock. After a few seconds, the bride tries to fight back, which evokes response from other wedding attendees who had to manhandle the lover and take him away.

Soon, the video went viral on Twitter, and since has been retweeted and commented on by hundreds of netizens. Interestingly, there aren’t many comments that talk on how the man’s actions were wrong, or how he gatecrashed a wedding. Instead, netizens took it easy and took time to make fun of the incident.

What Caused Such a Dramatic Response from the Man?

According to an India Today report, the man was the bride’s ex who had been not in the town due to some work since the past few months. Meanwhile, the woman’s family arranged the marriage and when the man came to know about it, he went the 90s Bollywood way of being rational.
